  • She had so much potential. This was just a sneak peek at what she could have been if she had broken from the Carpenters formula, and lived.

  • Certainly these songs were a departure from the Carpenters' canon; a desirable wish, and bold step that Karen took so to show Richard the way their career should take in the 80's. Obvioulsy, karen would have never been the legend she is for songs like these, but it's a gift to see the B-side of Karen. Yet, certainly, they needed each other for success, they came together to this world; shame my beloved ones couldn't continue to grow up together....
