We know our salvation is secure forever. There is however a similar struggle for those of us that have been saved from our sin by the work of Jesus on the cross. The Christian struggle is found in Gal 5:16-25. We no longer have no power as the man in Romans 7 but we have stopped walking in the spirit so the flesh takes over again "so that ye cannot do the things that ye would". The solution for us is to walk in the spirit and keep the flesh in the place of death (Gal 5:24)
