  • *___* I feel like a failur right now

  • MESHUGGAH

  • Omg intro is SO Dream Theater

  • for me it sounds like ur wacking off XD no but good azz drumming :)

  • why do you make this look so easy? like you are soo good and looks like your not trying

  • Better than powerglide ?

  • i want those so bad there so fast dude

  • Does the 9000 slave pedal play smooth? Like, is there more resistance in it compared to the main pedal?

  • IS MIKE PORTNOY

  • Comment removed

  • Really clean dude, nice 1!

  • I have the same practice kick pad! and I also use a 9000 as well, :)

  • People rave on about Speed Cobras and Demon Drive but these are in a league of their own. Ive had the single for a few days and already I'm seeing an improvement. There literally 0 friction because of all the ball bearings in this bad boy. Even the shaft moves freely.

  • jeremy mckinnon?

  • i can do that. lol, jks i'm larz ulrich

  • I just bought my DW 9000 double kick tonight!!!! If you don't mind I was wondering what settings you put on your pedal such as spring tension and all that bullshit haha

  • @VPKBH10 lucky have fun

  • what makes these pedals sooo much better then most pedals?

  • i was sold in the first 2 seconds of you playing

  • tht practice pad sounds lke a wwII machine gn fireing into pig fat

  • Can you make a vid on the way you like to set your pedals.

  • You make it look so easy!

  • I was speaking to the Drummer from Trivium, Nick Augusto, a few weeks ago after a concert, he said he uses these pedals :D

  • Join my band, we need drummer like u, we have killed our last drummer because he was not good enough :o

  • Nice shoes! :D

  • absolutely did not expect to hear beneath the massacre in the intro.

  • Wow, you're really good. o.o You make it look easy. Also, I just realized this video was posted on my birthday last year.

  • those are some sexy pedals.

  • @SATANECRONOMICUS The Speed cobras and Iron cobras fucking destroy them!.

  • How are ya able to do that so well?

  • Get iron cobra beaters. They are much lighter.

  • @shakakamooroar Exactly!

  • i like these pedal, but i think that the beatters are too heavy

  • solid

  • Nice pedals but as everything there are always people who know how to use them (you) and some that don't, but I like the way you play nice rythym

  • AH! should i go with these or should i get axis i think i want these. the only thing that gets me is the giant beater i feel like theyre gonna be really heavy and hard to play with but i have the dw beaters with the foam and stuff so ill probly end up putting those on there

  • @RevJunior28 Definitely the Axis. DW 9000 is so fucking over-priced. When i was doing some research, i was totally surprised on how expensive it was.

The TAMA Speed Cobra is WAY cheaper than the DW 9000 and it is better too.

For the DW 9000 price, you rather get the Axis Longboards. Axis FTW!

  • @joshuachan56 i dissagree... get them on sale and you got a deal... mine where 300

for 300 thats a good price... maybe if your paying 500 bucks you can go with the axis because azis are like 550 for the good ones but 300 is fair for the 9000 and i used the tama iron cobras and i diddnt like them... they diddnt feel as smooth as the 9000s..even though the 9000s are better to me the tamas did feel slightly heavy wich i liked because i could get power but i think the 9000s are smoother

  • "OH SHIT MAN" hahaa

  • Nice

  • what foot technique do u use for double strokes with one foot?

  • pretty cool

  • 1:50 "OH Shit"(cleans up jizz) goes back to playing

  • @discohunter12 Indeed the 9000 is more powerful than the demon drive not to mention you can be just as fast on the 9000 in metal as you can on the demon, probably with better attack as well.

  • found me a set of pearl double bass pedals for $10 from this drummer yesterday im trying to learn but it;s kinda hard, so i was wondering what you got your spring set to? are they fully extended or lose?

  • @perry244 go full tension with a 45 beater angle or wider. Watch some of Dave lombardos clinics

  • Achivment unloked: official badass

  • 1.51 i think we know where gaz from parkway drive stole the intro for karma from now haha. great demo dude! anybody else going in that dw comp to win one of these?

  • @fuzzz182 the drummer from parkway drive is ben

  • @josshlegg ben gordon whose nickname is gaz, i've met the guy dude haha

  • @fuzzz182 oh i never knew that lol thanks!

  • DW 9000 or Pearl Elimenator Demon Drives???

  • @Kairiri1 Same price, completely different feels, I reckon the DW 9000 from what I hear sounds like a well balanced pedal, smooth, very adjustable, reliable and powerful and with lots of clever features. The Demon drives have incredible amounts of adjustability, but a completely different feel, they probably won't be as powerful but probably are much faster. I think they're more for metal drummers and the DW 9000's are more all round, but they are probably both great pedals for any genre.

  • @discohunter12 thanx alot for your reply! really appreciate it. Yes I heard that the DW9000 are more used because of the exact thing u said. But everytime i have a look a videos of the demons I fall in love with them because of the smoothness and the speed. But i guess I will just have to go to a place where I can play on both to see which suit the best for me. :D greetings

    Kai

  • @Kairiri1 That's probably the best solution, although have you tried the mapex falcons? I tried them yesterday in a music shop and fell in love with them right away, very smooth, fast, powerful and also have lots of clever features on them, and the best part is they are like half the price of these two pedals

  • I have the same pedal and my slave pedal keeps hitting the bottom plate screw thing. I tried fiddling with a lot of things, but it still wouldn’t come back to place, and as far as I remember, it was like this ever since I bought it. Dyu guys know what the problem could be? Cz I need to use this for a show day after :S

  • its not onlythe pedal but its and how u use it men you fuckin ausom

  • @IntakeDeathification if you want a heavier pedal, id go with dw 5000, theyre still very smooth, and tama iron cobras are way lighter, they both cost about the same im pretty sure

  • the last few seconds of that is also how u play Blinded In Chain's drum solo :)

    great vid

  • Dw9000 or pearl demon drive?

  • @MusicalAbsinthe

theres a big difference in price but im using the DW9000 and its perfect. but demon drive is also really awesome. of u have the money, then get the demon drive.

  • This or the Tama Iron Cobra? Help me decide which is better thanks :D

  • @IntakeDeathification I would get the speed cobras, they're probably the smoothest chaindrive pedals I've ever played and they can pack a hell of a punch so power is not a issue. Also the footboard is a bit longer than the DW's which is great for Heel-Toe players like myself.

  • @IntakeDeathification

DW9000 is better, that doesnt mean the Iron Cobra is bad, i used it before its ok but its very heavy and i personally think DW is smoother and its awesome how DW lets u adjust it in many places.

  • @artachira I prefer pedals that feels heavy. So maybe i'll get the Iron Cobra lol

  • @IntakeDeathification

go for it dude! good luck with it

  • @IntakeDeathification Iron Cobras are very heavy feeling, in a good way. If you want a lot of power, they're the ones for you.

  • u sound like Jeremy from ADTR

  • friend what is the difference between double pedal DW 9000 and DW 9002?

  • @shekinabass The DW 9002 is the double version of the DW 9000, the 'DW 9000' is just the single version

  • @shekinabass 9000=single pedal, 9002=double pedal.

  • @baddog16543 gracias bro

  • 9000 man its the best pedals

  • hey I got a DW 5000 Double Kick Pedal not too long ago and I want to get the chops you have. Do you have any suggestions on how to get fast with it and stuff?

  • Hey man nice work, can you do a video on how you set up your pedal because mine still isnt right

  • I like the...."awe shit" like he is sayin yep im killin this! Great!

  • I am currently lookin for a good double bass pedal. I dont want anything to expensive cus I dont have that much money. I just want something around 1-2 thousand that would work good! Its my first double bass pedal (but I have played double bass pedal before, I just haven't owned one). I need to have one cus I need it to play live with my band. I have been checking this DW 2000 out and I find the price nice. But Is it worth it? Can anyone help out I would really apprechiate it!

  • @Samm3x yeah i have a 2000 and i love it but i only use it when not doing double bass. i recommend 3000s because of the double chain and theyre smoother mainly for double bass. i haved compared it with 9000 and there pretty much the same

  • @gbichai Okay thank you for the tip! Most apprechiated :) I will continue my journey and then decide!

  • @gbichai Your totally right, The only reason DW 9000s are $549 and DW 3000s are $199 is because of the 6000 numbers seperating them. It actually has nothing to do with how good the pedal is.. Quite the comparison.

  • You musical taste is sweet, suffocation is my favourite band <3

  • fuck yes

i have same pedals and a Stainless Steal Maple COLLECTOR series drum kit by DW.. so amazing im 14 and been playing for 2 years.. im VERY good i will say but it pisses me when ppl say "DUDE you fucking play fast" .. Yes i know i can buy my pedal settings are terrible.. if i touch the right footboard the beaters literally HITS the plate... i fucking need my pedal setting/Tention LIKE YOURS.. then i can rape lol.. but great play man good job

  • che schifo i jeans con i risvolti...sono antichi

  • lol 1:50

  • the spring can easily crack??

  • im trying to learn doubles, like at 0:48, what exactly is the footing pattern? i cant seem to get it

  • @ethangrobb try heel toe, theres tons of tutorials on youtube

  • ive got the DW 7000 and im having trouble cause theres almost no rebound, and i thought i tightened the springs all the way. what do you think i should do? and/ or how do you tighten the springs?

  • ur a srry excus for a drummer!!! jk. ur awesome man keep it up!

  • hey man awesome pedals i have a question my pedal are just cheap ass chinese ones and the attcher to the other pedal keeps falling off any tips?

  • thats sick!! awesome!

  • Good stuff there man!

  • freakin clean play ! congratz :)

  • wow, props man. I wish every drum pedal video was like this. The professional exhibitions of them just have some queers talking about them and 0 performance time.

  • you are nasty dude, i just bought DW 3000, i have these beat ass double pedals and the slave pedals lags and i just realized it by reading reviews on them so im hoping that these DW 3000 will make a big difference and maybe give me more confidence and control.

  • I love how at 1:50 your just like "Oh, shit!" impressed that you can actually play it like that LOL

  • i can pley so fast with these

  • wats better, an axis longboard, a pearl eliminator, a pearl demon drive, tama speedcobra, or the dw 9000? P.S. i have a size 14 shoe

  • @MrVengeance1984 "wats better" doesn't apply, my friend. What's important is your preference. Individual opinions vary according to individual preferences. Someone who prefers the Elims is gonna tell you it's better. Someone with the DWs is gonna tell that's better instead. At the same time you're gonna hear alot of others just hating on every pedal you ever heard of. Good day! =)

  • i have the same exact snare but i use DW 5002's

  • @f4l1ur3 how good are the 5002's im looking to upgrade, and ive been looking into them, but i cant decide if i should get them or not.

  • @BNSdrumm3r

personally, i like them a lot, but they're not as fast or light as something like an axis pedal. but i like the sound the beaters on DW pedals better, altough i do think the pedal on the 5000's is kinda short for my foot.

  • I ended up comin across a 7000 double pedal SINGLE chain, anything significant bout that?

  • sick playing man, use to own the 9000's they served me well. Keep it up.

ps. i have those converse too theyre awesome

  • how do you spell jibrawlter

  • @kre7708 gibraltar i think..

  • how much were the dw 9000 pedals?

  • I see you like meshuggah :P 1:51 - I, 2:07 - Future Breed Machine :D

  • @duje65 You can have them either it depends what sound you want.

  • @theDRUMMERDUDE100 ok then didn't knew that

  • you know your pedal is tourned on the wrong side :D

you need to hit with those litlle white things :DDD

  • how would the 9000 compare to the 7000?

  • u guys are sayin dat his pedal is wack i dont even have a double pedal

  • Comment removed

  • xD..are the beaters turned around..lol..cause the white part is like facing the other way

  • @pimpcracka yeah i noticed it too lol XD

  • can you play brush's matched grip?

  • I just got my first double pedals yesterday! I can't do shit with them tho..lol practice practice practice!! its a Gibraltar 9611 Direct Drive...I wanna get these in the future tho..when I get waaaayyyy better! they look sexy..btw nice playing..you make it look so easy O.O I can prolly only do what you do from 0:47 - 1:04 with the single pedal and double pedal alternate..

  • @RockTheGABE good pedals for your first set! people say they're even better than these O___0

  • nice i used to play drums, with mapex and they never sounded as good as theese dual base used to be all i would do i fell in love with it and got used to it.At first i couldnt use them at all i was off beat trying to go real fast then i practiced everyday and now i can get plenty of pedal rebound.

  • So can you actually make two single pedals out of these?

  • Get the DW 5520-2 and tell me how it is.

  • Dw 2000's or 9000's?

because i havent found 9000's or 3000's in Joliet, but ive tried the 2000's and they are WAY better than Cobras/ Cobra jr.s and cheaper too.

  • Nice! All stars are THE best shoes to drum in eh! How is the rebound with the footboard? I currently use Iron Cobra Powerglides w/ the cobra coil. Lots of guys I know use the 9000's but I like a pedal where you don't have to crank the springs in order to get good pedal rebound. I've tried direct drive pedals, but they don't feel all that natural. Seem almost too touchy. Responsive to every twitch haha

  • Awsome. I laugh when people say that axis or trick or demon drive are the fastest. If you put all three side by side, they would just SIT there and not move. So it is the musician not the pedal that is fast, or slow, or on, or off time.

  • 1:30

BENEATH THE MASSACRE - Modern Age Slavery

    gotcha! :)

  • its better than iron cobra´s?

  • @Rafamartinez01 yes, much smoother

  • Please tell me how you think these compare to the demon drives. i am looking into new pedals. i like what ive seen with both the 9000's and demon drive, but ive also heard a lot of bad. such as demon drive feeling cheap, and the 9000's shaft and springs wearing out in a year. i would like to hear your pros and cons about these pedals please.

  • Dude I want my pedal to work JUST like yours!! How do u have your tension?! (tight or lose) of course I have the new DW3000 which I believe was a 7000 and got demoted to 3000, so it's a double chain drive. So I probably can't go that fast :/

  • @monkeyskins666 I'm pretty sure he's using the swivel technique. If not that, heel toe

  • I wish I had some money

  • You kick so much ass...

  • 1:03 were you doing that beat with 1 foot? im not good at drums ( guitarist ) and have never played with a double bass thing but that was pretty cool lol.

  • Wow! Looks like it takes a lot less effort than my 4000's! How much difference is there between the 9000's and 4000's.

  • would you say those are good for playing to dio and judas priest?

  • i know how u can go fast

just put a picture of Justin Beiber on the practice pad and u'll go fast

  • omg so many beater thumping

  • ive got demon drive but i want 9000 but i think its just a matter of gettin 500 pound for my demon drive and then going out and buying the 9000

  • I have a mapex singles pedal and iv played on my buddys dw 7000 single and there is a big difference, there alot smoother and i think easyer to use,

  • fuck you *jealous!!!*

  • who was doing that demo?

  • Amazing foot work. Chimaira's "Eyes of A Criminal?"

  • sounds like you were playing as i lay dying beats :P

  • regurgitated lullaby for the born dead......nice

  • pierced from within with suffocation sweet i cand do that good haha i fail

  • not many drummers who start doubles with theif left foot

  • do the shoes you wear make a difference?

  • Obviously into Suffocation yes?

  • How much does that practice pad cost?? Great pedals! DW rocks!

  • How do you compare the feel of the 9000's slave unit vs the main unit?

I have the DW5000 accelerator and it is painfully slower than the main unit.

    Any advice?

  • @PabloJ1968 mine are the sama way

i have dw generics kind of i bought the for 100 bucks new they have double chian anrock plate just like 5002 or7002

  • on my dw9002, the slave pedal's footboard doesnt go low as the master pedal even though the slave's footboard is set to the lowest possible setting.

does this mean i should return it to DW and get a replacement?

  • is the dw 3002 as good? because these are kinda expensive..

  • @ISk8Emerica7 Yes. The 3002 are actually the same 7002. Just renamed.

  • almost sounds like as i lay dying haha awsome pedals i love em i have both these and axis pedals they have their own style and feel it counts on what you like and play

  • whats your spring tension at ? Thanks!

  • how much was that pedal(s)?

  • ive only got like a £100 mapex pedal but i want something better, how much difference would a pedal like this make cus i cant play double bass for shit

  • @scoty123123 Hey man. Good pedals will make a difference for sure but you still have to be able to control them. In other words, if you think you suck, the pedals are only going to be as good as you can play. I will say this though, having a nice set of pedals makes learning and experimenting a lot more fun and that usually results in you being better at double bass player. If you can learn on your Mapex pedals, I believe you'll jam on these.

  • @flagstamp I got pretty good on Sound Percussion pedals. i gotta believe anyone can do good on anything. still can't wait for new pedals

  • @flagstamp I started with a pair of $100 "vex" pedals, no one knew WTF they were, once I got better with those I bought Iron Cobras...Its not about the pedals you have, although nice pedals will limit you less and allow you to progress faster.

  • hey guys, i have tested some pedals and am really unsure of what pedals to go for or test, to me the axis which i own is a bit fast, but i don't get to much control on them which i don't like, so i think am gonna sell them, i also own the eliminators which i kind of feel is the same just that they are chain driven, i've also tried my buddy's iron cobra, they are nice and controllable, but a bit to sluggish to get a nice smooth 200 bpm going, i've been thinking of trying dw 9000 or trick pro 1v

  • wow i cant go that fast coz the pedals r to heavy for me nd i hav the spring down as far as they go, but has the gibralter practise pad got a good rebound or r u just fast

  • what technique are you using?

  • dude that was fuckin sikk!! after showing that these pedals can do this, I love mine even more haha!! you should put up a video on how you set up your tensions n what not cuz I love that...they look so loose and you look like you're putting in no effort with so much gain haha!! and mine is good but I really like the settings you have yours on

  • I like that you play Pierced From Within with Suffocation ;)

And Dw 9000 is a pair of awesome pedals!

  • @Dreamslayer1987 Haha! I can't believe you picked that out! Thanks for watching.
