Fair doos, each to their own innit. Speaking personally, listening to dubstep, for me is like someone stabbing my brain repetitively with a knife. Not very pleasant. I dislike it intensely. Almost as much as i dislike the neighbours and home and away music. Almost but not quite.....*shivers...urgh even the thought of that complete audiological detritus trying to shit its little audio crap parcels into my ear-lobes is enough to make me feel queezy.

To say its halftime repetitive breakbeat is a bit of a broad sweeping statement dude, and is similar to my broad sweeping statement about dub-step being shit. The only difference is my statement is true ;).

This isn't dubstep.

Just because it has a slight frequency oscillation/phlange/wah on the bass-line the general layout of the drum pattern is nothing like dub-step. Its a typical breakbeat drum pattern with a rolling bass-line glueing it together to give it the rolling feel.

It is a cool sound though to be sure.

@TavicA96 A lot of Crizzly and other drumstep/brostep songs I've seen played (I don't really touch the stuff) is around 90/180ish. And Glitch is most of the time around 70-80ish, but I've seen some up around 120, 140 and even 180. Just depends on the artist, but from my experience with working with EDM for a while that is where most stuff falls. I'm not saying that that's how it ALL is. Besides, you don't define a genre by bpm, you define it by how it's structured.

@TavicA96 Here is my updated list: Early Dubstep ~70 More recent Dubstep/Brostep ~140 (I've seen some at 180) Speedkore ~300+ (I've seen up to 1000+) Hardcore ~150 Happy Hardcore ~160 House, Electro ~126-132 Drum and Bass, Drumstep ~160-180 Trance ~135 (Harder Trance being around 140) Glitch ~72, 85, 110, 145 (It varies a lot, I've seen an EdIt song around 178) *May vary by artist. Does that appease you?

dubstep has little to do with tempo, it is typically labaled as being "slow" because of the type of syncopation the artists have chosen to use within the rhythmic patterns, but typical tempo range is anywhere from 130's-140's which is not really slow.
