I don't understand Khmer language but I think it is so cool. I showed this song to my family and it instantly became popular among them.

Some days ago (Aug 2010, I'm in KH at the moment) I saw a song on the bus which sounded like the one here, just a little faster. It also played in a rural setting and guy tried to impress a girl with his skills (or so it seemed, cause I neither read nor speak khmer), but had his hidden friend to help him all the time.

Please, if you have a link to the song I'm talking about: Send it oder post it. I would love to get that song. Thanks!

This sound a lot peppier than what I had downloaded. Does anyone know how the rice production has been in the land? Are the peasant folks forbidden to cultivate the land so they can feed their families?

I heard that the poor in the in the capital, their living shelters were ravished by the developers. I wonder if the land in the country side being control by the corporations from foreign countries. I hate the injustice that had been done to the poor.

as for i know, rice production isnt that big to make huge profit income for cambodia - not enough to sell it to its own people. they get their rice mostly from thai and its neighbor. although, cambodia rice is the best in the world by international survey =). BUT who get to eat it? mostly chinese upper class people because they buy our rice and sell their own lower quality rice back to us. real facts. this is only way that the farmer can make profit selling to foreigner. sad but true

@ScionT2B im khmer. i think each language is beautiful in each of their own. like korean and japanese can sound good in most type of genre of music IE hiphop,rap, orchestra etc.. i think khmer cant really perform those genre that well only traditional style.
