If I had to name my top 5 favorite musicals, "Hello, Dolly!" (This song is from that musical, and the movie, song, and other Hello Dolly tidbits were of course used in Wall-e) would be my favorite. I played the part of Cornelius Hackl (The guy who starts the song at the beginning) in my musical theater class' production of "Hello, Dolly!" For you train fans, the steam locomotive in the Hello Dolly movie is Pennsylvania Railroad 4-4-0 1223 which was borrowed from the Strasburg Railroad.
what a fun video..i remember thomas the tank engine my little brother LOVED him when he was little..absolutely love hello dolly! i should go see wall-e!!!^_^
i just love how gay the singer's voice is. i mean, i can't think of any other word for it, it has the this super happy tone that's just so perfect for this movie, and I love it
I loved it. I think most people like that and Ratatouille so much because it doesn't have much crude humor like most CGI movies do - there's always a fart joke in kids movies, but it seems they're refining that (I hope so. It's getting old.)
That's because Pixar has more dignity than SOME studios that think kids are actually entertained by bodily function and slow motion gags! And I'm setting a new record, as I'm seeing WALL-E in theaters for the fourth time tomorrow!
Wall-E is the best movie I have ever seen. I wish that was hyperbole and maybe it is a bit but I felt so...full of life after watching it (it took a robot to make me feel alive, what does that say about me? lol). It wasn't just a movie, it was an experience.
Wall E was splendid! I was so glad to see it, and I am so fortunate to have discovered this song from the movie. What a wonderful delight to my ears. Thanks for the Thomas video.
But WALL-E was probably the greatest film ever made, at least in my opinion. Without it, Put On Your Sunday Clothes would've remained forgotten until some robot dug up an old Hello Dolly VHS in a couple hundred years...
OK, it'd be kind of funny if you showed me some evidence. I didn't really notice any communism, but I did notice love and life. Is that a corrupt political system too?
Oh yes and EVERYTHING that puts america in bad light is obviously associated with communists... god... Wait not america... The human race... And its not even that! Its about love...
liked only for the song. the visuals, not so much.

So even in the April preceding Wall-E's debut it was known that "Hello Dolly!" soundtrack would be in Wall-E.
