You'd have to try pretty hard to make a Windows Mobile device bad. They tried very hard, and we've got sideways styluses, send/end keys on the sides of the device, no headphone jack, but it is still a decent device (nice of them to put numeral buttons on the front - great for emulators).

@DWCplus9 I want to add something also DWCplus9 you are correct you can take the data package off but as of the year 2010. They change the plan to were you can use your picture messaging if you have it. I have the i760 and I put a data block on it but since I have unlimited picture and text on my plan they don't charge me extra. So there is no need to block the picture messaging part :)

I have a question: I used to use the i760 until I realized that it had too many things that I did not need. My only actual problem besides that is the dysfunctional touch-screen. It still works, but it's just a little awkward using it, so if you want one thing you have to press the button above it. But let's face it, many things on there don't even require it, you can get around it. If I put that phone on ebay, is it possible that people will buy it?

the data plan is not required for this phone. this and the motorola q and few other older smartphones don't require the data plan.

after i had the the glyde (i went threw 5 in less than 2 months) i swore i would never get another touch screen i went threw but i got this one off ebay and i love it so far except i cant find how to save my ringtones or change my txt message tone lol

Nope. TMobile is GSM, verizon is CDMA. Its just not a feasible thing and it can't be done.

you legally can, however they might not let you unless you complain companys allways try to make you buy stuff. i went to best buy and every time i got thier if they have a $20 of coupon its not registerd so i have to waith 20 minutes so they give me $20 off. but anyway you should be able to.

Yes and no- you can connect to wifi for free (where there is wireless internet access), so you don't necessarily need the 30 dollar data plan. You can still get the data plan if you want.

Its slow, it freezes, the texting is retarded, and every time you get an MMS message it connects you to the broadband connection until you manually disconnect it. I got a MMS message one night when I was asleep and the broadband connection was on for over 5 hours costing me tons of money because I don't have the unlimited data plan.

Don't buy this phone unless you like wasting money.

No, that is only for Blackberrys ($24.95). regular internet on vzw for phones like the env touch or the glyde, etc, have additional monthly internet for $16/mo but if you're new to verizon or ur upgrading ur contract, u get 1 months of internet for free

My old phone, which was shut in a car door, was a windows mobile 6.1 running phone. My problem with it was the phone would not adjust to day light saving time. When i changed it manually it would always change back within a few hours. I plan on getting this phone and was wondering if it has the same issue?

The Samsung i760 is custom made specifically for Verizon. It is a CDMA phone. GSM phones are the ones where you put your SIM card in.

Video should be called "Out of the Box" demo. I recently purchased this phone, LOVE it. Texting is now comfortable. Sound quality is great. User interface is nice. My Tri-corder has arrived! Heavy use of Outlook (Exchange setup) and IE (not perfect) makes it worth it. Still searching for aps to make it all work, Y! Go is just ok. Haven't used the camera and still transferring files from my old phone (argh). So far it exceeds my expectations for the price. Verizon gave me a great deal.

First, Captain, AWESOME name. You rock. :) Second, YES, being a Windows Mobile 6.0 device, you can still use your old ActiveSync version 4.5 on Windows XP to sync with it. You can also use Windows Mobile Device Center on Vista if you get it, either should work. I don't expect that'll change until they release WM7 maybe.
