Yes, your dad is awesome. He got this at just the emotional level it was pitched. Cool. I just went to Oahu and stood on about 200 spots key to the series including the first beach, the camp, the path leading to the Source and the last fight with Locke and Jack. It was like walking into a myth and discovering it was real. This was the series of a lifetime.

Honestly. It's been over a year since this played. This is filmed with a potato. I can hardly hear the voices from the TV. It barely SHOWS the TV.

Everything was great UNTIL that last scene. Seriously, "moving on"? That's one of the biggest cliches in the book, and the fact they end up walking through a 'white light' as the last shot is even worse. Ugh, terrible, lazy ending, even though I know why they decided to do it. (To get all the main characters together on a happy note one last time) I dont know how else they could've ended it, but it left a sour taste in my mouth.

"Moving on" is just the same in this context as "letting go". When you consider the entire show and the journeys of these characters - its fitting.

I'm thinking that for you, it wasn't so much the idea of it as how it was executed. But at least its a definitive ending, that can't be argued...
