22 years ago today, good god, seems like yesterday, the title music to the match...takes me right back to the nervous wreck of a 15 year old I was that night, just as the coverage started. Great day, great memories.
I remember being at that game with my local youth club on a trip from Northern Ireland, and the abuse that Bobby Robson took that night from the Anfield Rd end was unreal. I remember him having to take a very ungraceful climb up a 40 foot laddder to get sitting beside Elton up in that box. "Youre a fucking jinx ye b*****d Robson" was all i could hear. I was 12 at the time, and ive hated Liverpool fans ever since.

Managers and players these days wouldnt go for it because of the amount of games but i think they should bring replays back for both domestic cups myself.

he's a plastic scouser from the other side of the mersey but he's an evertonian. he was probably doing cart wheels in the studio when michael thomas got the winner. i'm a kopite and the more itv built us up as double winners, the more doubts i was having before the game. i was a very nervous 9 year old that night ha ha.

I was 16 at the time. and this still cuts like a knife, lol.
I remember screaming "CHOP HIM!!" when Thomas entered the area to score.
To win the title with the last kick of the season, and by one goal, is Hollywood stuff(as much as it hurts to say).
We won the tile the year after, but this was tragedy. :-/
