Basically the killer wanted to be like the victim and the brunette (the victim's ex gf) was jealous cause she was going to lose the dance competion to her ex and his new partner, who he loved and wanted to marry.

She promised drugs and sex to the killer to knock the victim out for the contest, but in a rage he shot him and set the club on fire to cover up the murder. He killed 22 other people,23 if you count his father. The victim and blonde were having their last dance together :) Sad really

The victim told the killer that he wasn't a good dancer and never would be big. Killer saw red and killed him. I am almost positive that was the reason.

I love the Cold Case.. I was addicted to it even b4 Ghost Whisperer. Every episodes has periodic musical ending in it which is nice..

I never listened to Last Dance by Donna Summer but after watching it and featured on the show.. I did try to listen to it and it's nice.. I love the soundtrack of Cold Case... songs are matched up well with each episodes
