I think in this category, it'd only be up to the skill of the operator/pilot. But I guess we'll never know, or at least never want to know. Maybe it'd be fun to have some friendly air exercises between Russia and the U.S., just to see who's on top. Like we couldn't destroy each other and the rest of the earth at will anyways.
I seriously doubt that. Now if the MiG-29 in our exercise would be a fully equipped russian version none of your F`s would not stand a chance! A person who had the privilege to fly all of these said the difference between F-15 and MiG-29 is slightly in MiG`s favor, and I quote: "compared to the 16, the 29 is a GOD! Flying a MiG-29 is like flying on an angels wings, you become one with the plane, it feels like you are welded, connected to it...".
@GoringSS Look at the facts. f-16 and 15 have multiple kills against this mig. The mig is a crappy aircraft and who ever said that is and idiot bias towards russian aircraft. The f-16 is more maneuverable at high speeds and is easier to fly since it is fly-by-wire. It also uses the Aim-9x which can engage a target 90 degrees off bore sight. 30 more than any other russian missile. The facts speak for themselves, and so do the air-to-air kills by the American fighters kiddo.
First off all I will not accept that "kiddo" appellative because few decades of my life already passed. Secondly, what you don`t know is that russians usually sold highly downgraded military equipment compared to the ones used by the Russian Air Forces or Army. Now, as I specified, you need to compare it with a russian version! When Falcons fought german MiG-29s in a NATO exercise, guess which one won? The MiG!
@GoringSS You obviously have no idea on how these simulated dog fights work. You practice different tactics and fighting with different rules of engagement. Not which plane outperforms the other. And I would love to know which NATO exercise you're talking about, show me this information. You have watched way too much top gun
I actually hate those kind of movies because all you see is propaganda, US propaganda. The exercises took place shortly after the fall of the Berlin wall. Russians lack the money for good avionics, and you would totally agree that if a MiG-29 would have F-16 Block 60`s avionics it would be a hell of a lot better plane! And about the F-15, I think it is the best USAF plane ever made, better then R2D2 piece of shit - F-22. Cheers!

Do your research right, F`s only shot down low equipped MiG`s-29 with poorly trained pilots in them. Never with a russian pilot or a really well trained pilot. And also never shot down MiG`s-29 fully equipped like the ones russians have. It was not the F`s who were better, but the USAF`s best pilots sent out there to fight with poorly trained arab pilots. Serbs were better pilots but were highly outnumbered, for like more then 20 to 1.
