@drumbumbtingey With lots of know-how and hard work haha! I use keller drum shells (same that all the big custom companies use). There's tons of stuff online about building drums whether it be a snare or a whole kit.

The Butcher (drummer for The Academy Is) took some of SJC's shells on tour with him to do something creative with... and he ended up creating the SJC Butcher kit. But the snare for that kit looked totally different. So since I loved the look of that kit, but not so much the snare, I modeled my snare after the Butcher kit!

With my choice of shell, lugs/hardware of course :)

nice cover, especially the guitar, that was really cool. only thing id say could be improved was that to me it seemed that there was too much cymbal thrashing. now dont get me wrong it sounded really cool at certain times. but in my opinion id say back off a bit on the crashing and save the big halftime crash session for the final chorus. just an idea, in the end its your call. overall really cool cover.

DUDe answer this question for me man. Im a drummer. how did u do double time with one stick on the High-hat on the verses and keep just one stick hitting the snare? r u doing a power blast like u would on a snare? i forgot what it's called on a snare.

@theamazingtoot Nope. it's just a standard rock beat with 8th notes on the hi-hat, kick on beats 1 and 2, and snare on 3. Blast beats are usually 8th notes on the snare and quarters on the hats.
