@debk4142 I honestly think Simon doesn't care for Clay's personality, mannerisms, look, and theatricalness. That's what I think. If you ask Simon if Clay is talented, he will say yes. I don't agree with Simon by saying this, it's just what I think he doesn't like about Clay.

Whether you love or hate this guy, this performance was flawless. It showed the power in his voice and let's not forget that this was LIVE. There is no voice male wise in Idol that can sing this powerful. Anyone who thinks otherwise is lying to themselves. Listen to his work and you will see that he can hit notes others can only dream about hitting.

Something funny, until this comment, I was pretty sure he was the originator of this song, this song pretty much is synonomyous to me with Clay Aiken, lol I'm gonna go see who sang it before him, but yeah, nailed, completed, mastered, and untouchable.
Quite surprisingly, Jorge Nunez sang it again in AI 8 and lead him to the top 13. I thought Alex Wagner was the one who would sing it, but he didn't and failed to be on top 13.
Randy and Paula gave Clay more standing ovations that year than anyone else EVER in ANY season. That was before they jumped on the "hate" train with Simon.
He is just a complete NATURAL. He has total control over his voice. Superb. I wish I had a gift like that. I'd go around singing to myself all day. :)

Something funny, until this comment, I was pretty sure he was the originator of this song, this song pretty much is synonomyous to me with Clay Aiken, lol I'm gonna go see who sang it before him, but yeah, nailed, completed, mastered, and untouchable.

Quite surprisingly, Jorge Nunez sang it again in AI 8 and lead him to the top 13. I thought Alex Wagner was the one who would sing it, but he didn't and failed to be on top 13.

He is just a complete NATURAL. He has total control over his voice. Superb. I wish I had a gift like that. I'd go around singing to myself all day. :)
