All i hear is blah blah blah why dosen't anyone mention the fact that 75% bof the price people in the west pay for oil goes to their own government they want the arabs to lower the prices for them before their own governments do why should we the arabs worry about them more than their own governments if the people in the west want cheap oil vote in someone who won't tax it so much

I think one of the most disturbing elements of this economic domination of Iraq by foreign parties is that it leaves the Iraq relatively impotent to control its own resources. Also, it demonstrates that oil companies have gained so much political power that they have become major players in shaping U.S. imperial policies.  This has a damaging effect not only within the political forum, but also upon the energy market because it will inhibit or delay the development of new technologies.
