in 1934…there was no such thing as Goldfish, and television did not become widespread until the early to mid 1950s. The first commercial station was generally considered to have first aired sometime in 1948-1949.

Also, the first general-use computer was a loom that could weave intricate patterns using punch-cards. It was invented in 1801 by Joseph Marie Jacquard.
