Galaxy has one thing Sunshine doesnt....great level design. In my opinion Sunshine is the weakest of te main Mario titles, this just my opinion though.

I loved Sunshine, but here are some reasons I couldn't stand it

1.The wonky art style that strayed away from traditional Mario.

2.The focus on flud, as flud was good but I liked mario with no gimmicks

3.Talking Bowser/Baby Bowser

They're both great, but Sunshine is better. The final boss is harder, the plot is better, and you don't have to do really ridiculous and/or annoying stuff to you to get the Shine Sprites.

I like both, the graphics on the games are pretty equal. They could have Fludd as a power up in later mario games. Super Mario Sunshine had a better story. Super Mario Galaxy had better controls. Theres a lot of pros and cons, but both of the games are good.

Pff haha! Super Mario 64 in the last scene! Great comparison of er.. sleeping moves inbetween all 3 games. But to be honest I always thought Galaxy was better maybe its because I never played Sunshine LOL! But I still have a nice feeling about Sunshine I saw Chuggaconroys' Lets Play on it and it looks fun even with the inclusion of Yoshi! But ofcourse Yoshis in Galaxy 2! HUZZUH 17 days everybody! Either which all 3 are fantastic or can I say in 17 days all 4 are fantastic :)

I loved sunshine. The tropical feel and F.L.U.D.D. Made the game really fun. ... But Galaxy is better. Better Graphics, Cooler Gameplay, Unique Worlds, and the Gravity system is awesome. I like the idea of a Plumber flying through space more then a plumber jumping on islands. Can't wait for Galaxy 2.

Sunshine was better because it stuck with the previous Mario styled games.Mario galaxy just....for example,no shyguy,real chain chomps....and gravity?Atleast in Mario Sunshines main stage (isle delfino) theres stuff to explore,secrets,and Fun things to do (play with fruits,ride yoshi,and spray people).But I do have to say that Mario Galaxy is challanging and has lots of puzzles.

@KrillinXL i totally agree. I forgot that Sunshine actually had dialogue, like ACTUAL voice acted dialogue between most of the characters in the cut scenes. Its a trip that graphics wise the difference is negligible.
