Definitely one of the best Final Boss Battle Themes in RPG History. Sounds nicely chaotic and really scary, makes you really think your fighting the Ultimate Being (God).
Sucks that this "Astral" doesn't look a thing like the Astral you transform into when you play as Fou-Lu...and to steal the Royal Equips, you did combo Charm+Steal+Pilfer, right?
By the end of the game, Fou-lu's personality is already twisted, horribly twisted, not the once-glory Emperor anymore. His Astral dragon is necessarily the embodiment of his very soul, thus the deformed appearance. The game has a reason for taking your control from him for a long period before the final battle. The theme of this track sounds wicked and twisted, too, for the same reason.
@aquapendulum It took six magically powered warriors, including one who could turn into a dragon, to bring down the literal God-Emperor Fou Lu. Sephiroth was technically killed by a sixteen year old kid just as he was starting to -dream- of godhood.
Stealing the Royal Sword and Armour isnt easy at all
i musta spent like 10 minutes on the royal armour and about 45 minutes on the sword cos Astral was being SUCH a pain killing Scias every time i tried stealing it.. -_-
but back onto subject this and a raging emperors banquet are the best songs in BOF4
As I stepped down the bus when I was going home, this song played just in time.

Did you know that you can Steal a Royal Sword from Astral?
You can also steal Royal Armor from Tyrant.
