Wow the Meade fan boys make me laugh.....Steve Meads has built some nice stuff and I am not trying to take that away from him. He has done some very clean installs and most of them go hard, but don't get it twisted he is not the end all be all of the car audio world. My brother has been breaking World records since the 90's. He hit 170.9 back in 2000 and not many have surpassed that in the last 11 years....and yes there are videos to back it up. Look up 170.9 , and this was and IASCA event

He had to have been running in the 159.9 bracket which (in some comps) he doesn't need a heads-up opponent for 'til the finals... Gotta think 122 db is like a fly taking a shit in the autosound world... I hit higher DB with a single 12@400w...

Who knows though...maybe it was in a car...and the dude's head unit just crapped out before the run started...or his amplifiers turned off.

Steve Meade can not bass race a 159.9. Im not bashing him but you need to get your facts correct. Even if your talking about chickens caddy, that can only BURP a 160, and Tommy can do a 160 to music for 30 seconds straight. In order for someone to bass race a 159.9 they have to be well into the 160's to average a 159.9 over 30 seconds.

The class that Tommy Mckinnie runs in is called Bass Race. They take their scores based on a 30 second average, unlike SPL, which is just a single burp. And with the power he's running, if he was setup for SPL instead of Bass race, he probably could hit mid 160's on a burp. The Bass Race class is VERY exciting in person! I miss my dB Drag days!

The SX series is higher up then the SE series. So overall its a better sub but it depends on the install which is best for you. The SE is a better sounding sub and works alot better sealed then the sx but the sx will take more power and produce more out put.
