This is a bit TOO basic, since it COULD show the 2 main verse chords (Gm7 & F) & other two chords for the chorus (C & Ab or G#). Plus the guitar & bass line between the 2 chorus lines, behind the "Fire in the Sky" vocal:

G,G,Bb,G,C,Bb,G,F,G,G,Bb,G,C,B­b,F... (back to 2nd half of chorus). Note that the original was the D & G strings open, played at the same time with the fingers, not a pick. Richie changed it over time & used different styles with & without a pick, open or fretted D&G to start.

you are supposed to pluck the strings with 2 fingers, a la Richie Blackmore style, instead of using a pick on this riff, granted that newbies don`t really wanna try and play it that way, you could have mentioned it though, perhaps you didn`t know, I didn`t know that until recent times, heh heh
