people wear bench shirts to different competition to be on the same playing field as others, there are also many RAW powerlifting meets as well, where no equipment is allowed except for a belt and wrist wraps....

just look at the RAW vs not raw world records. some of those shirts can't even come down if the weight isn't big enough. this guy could probably do around 300 raw, and even less w/o that crazy technique.
