A time when BJH were really struggling to write decent material. This was a B side at best, but found its way onto 'Baby ...' Like John's blue tartan hat, though. He had a red one just like it, too.
I just learned of BJH about 4 months ago. Another great band that slipped under Americas radar.......I was inspired to do my own video.......Nice post.
Wow this is amazing, never knew there was a video/TV appearance. Anyone know where it's from? TOTP or German TV? And what's with Woolly wearing gloves? lol
@geoffrodriguez this is from the Old Grey Whistle Test on BBC TV. Saw it on TV and loved the song so I went out and bought Baby James Harvest on the back ofi it - only played it once.
RIP Woolly Wolstenholme 13 Dec 2010

Compared to the Beatles' "Hello" the lyrics are extremely intelligent :-D

What a pity this stops half way the song.....John Lees is pretty good here!!! And in 1972 the feeling was there!!!!

What a really pity this song ends, where it should not...What a sunny song even in the darkest moments....That can only be ...BJH!

Very futuristic in 1972, and such a power (suddenly was John Lees eventualy the leader of the band?) Great song anyway!!!!

*Thank you* very much for putting it here! Never seen that video before as a die-hard fan of BJH!

I loved the song back in '73 and love it now; just wish it hadn't ended so abruptly on this video. Other than that...

The music and lyrics are crap, so not BJH. But it's rare footage of all four BJH members together in their early days. That's hard to find.

I quite like the song!
