I just ordered mine this morning in the Wine finish and will pick it up Wed. What a way to spend a vacation getting some new gear, As far as the case goes my research has shown that the Emperor II Case will fit but you have to turn the /Bigsby arm to the rear of the case. We will see if that is the case or not on Wed, 8/18/2011..
Thanks allot for the info. I am getting mine sent to me today, decided on the orange (Liked the black also). I agree about the Gretsch. I was going to upgrade the tuners to grover locking and pickups to TV jones but that was getting to be allot. I have heard good things about the swingster. Need to get info on a case for it now. Your demos are great. There is a used Tennessee Rose here but that's still to much for me also. Also, I love your playing, had to listen to all you uploads, Thanks!
@nrgsam Musician's Friend sells the Epiphone Emperor Case for about $80, it's decent and they ship for free sometimes. You need to rotate the bigsby all the way the opposite direction to close the case, but it works.
@nrgsam I like it quite a bit, I think it's a good value for the price, and tested side by side with the Gretsch 5120, the pick-ups are much more versatile, has a killer sound in person, and the quality and sound for the price was much better than the inexpensive Gretsch's. Everyone is talking about upgrading the Gretsch pick ups on the 5120 but no need wit the Swingster. I certainly would take a high level Gretsch, but can't afford a 6120 or Falcon, I used to play a Tennesian. Miss it.
