I love this theme! Only one smal request - is it possible to have a single "beep" sound when pressing an app icon to launch? It seems odd without it. Otherwise, beautiful work :D
For the record, Folder Enhancer and FolderIcons works great with this theme and is much faster than Categories. All you have to do is move the icons from the theme into the Folder Icons area for selection as a custom icon. That done, you don't need to use specific apps like cycorder. Just use the icon as a folder instead and put whatever you want in it.
@robgonzo I have both of those installed, but is having a hard time trying to find the LCARS images, any chance you could be a little more descriptive in how I can move them into the custom icon section?
@ArthurAllblack First, you have to be familiar with ssh for any of this to make sense. All your themes are located in "var/stash/themes". Copy the icons from there to a folder on your desktop, this way you have backups. now copy the icons from your desktop into "var/mobile/Media/FolderIcons/". Now, when you go to enable and select a custom icon in Folder Icons the LCARS icons should be among the selections. Also select, "don't scale" when you do this.

@kenjiolino Thank you so much. It got the majority of it down. The only thing that didn't work was the charge screen image, lock screen image(which I fixed easily enough) and the wallpaper inside the Catagories folders didn't change to the ship image. It kept the same bg as the home screen. Over all, if someone knows what to to fix those issues, fantastic, otherwise I'm pretty happy.

@Maveric, to get the phone and SMS icon, go to categories and make a folder called Phone and another called SMS. Not sure if you need to put anything in them or not though, since I have 3GS. And to get the iPod icon, go to Cydia and get Transform to iPod and turn it on. It turns Music and Videos into the iPod icon.
I have an iPhone 4 with 4.3.3 and the only thing that changed was my slide bar says energize, and i have an animated background. Nothing else is different.

I think this is a great theme. I have installed on my iPhone 3GS 4.3.3. The only issue I'm having is the starship background doesn't show up nor does the lock screen wallpaper. I have background Image setting to off because if I turn it on, i just get a black background. Any help with this little problem?
What about for those that don't have an iPhone but an iPod Touch? I have a 3G iTouch and would love to have my own theme like that. I don't have the phone app northe SMS app so what would be good replacements if any?

I have been using this theme for some time. You have to add some things - like wallpaper - yourself because the theme uses outdated applications. I wish lyndwode updated his theme so that it works smoothly on newest firmware.
what if u dont have some of the apps you listed? i cant even find Remote and finder is mobilefinder now. skype is dumb and i just havent heard of wikipanion

amazing theme, just cant use categories, causes ipod to crash when i launch anything from inside it, no pictures inside those folders either also can't get the lock screen to show up unless it is plugged in any ideas on these problems? 2g with 4.2 ios
for some reason configurations, applications, and games wont change although internet did. and the lock screen didnt change. I only have the delta shield slider.
Am I correct in saying this doesn't work for IOS 4.2.1? I did everything exactly as you said and only a few icons changed, but otherwise it looks exactly like regular iPhone screens.
Cydia is an alternative to Apple's App Store that allows you to use things that Apple (stupidly) doesn't authorize to be in the official App Store. Look up info on jailbreaking your phone. If it seems too technical, don't bother - It should only be used by the technologically savvy.
i recently installed the theme to my iphone but it shows the name of the apps, (phone, ipod... etc) and for the stardate, it shows the day on top too, iv tried to hide it but no luck.. help pls...

i'm a recent tng fan and i love this theme, but i'm having problems with just one of the apps. the wikipanion app didn't change according to this theme and i don't know if its because i have wikipanion plus or what. i searched up just "wikipanion" but it still comes out as wikipanion plus and that doesn't work with this theme apparently. suggestions?
@elizabethdante i have the plus version too... what i did was find the IPA and comy and paste it to rename the PNG because there a sign not on my or yours computer that must be identified by the iphone or ipod
I have a Iphone 4 I been trying to figure out how to build the Lcars theme on here my but there is so many new features on this phone i have no idea were to start is there a way you can make a step by step video or instructions in writing on how to build this them
*I don't have any of the images that show up in the Games Folder and other similar subfolders. The animated Wallpaper appears on all pages unless I turn the background image off, in which case there is just a black screen.
*Also, I had to get the "LCARS Animated Wallpaper" in addition to the "Star Trek TNG LCARS" in order to get the animated wallpaper.
*Furthermore, I have not been able to find Installer on Cydia.
thank you very much 4 this fantastic theme!!! i got it on my iphone as i get the jailbreack for 3.1.3 (finally) the only issue is the impossibility to apply the wallpapers on the categories, nothing to do, pity... i saw this is not just my problem, try to see if u can fix this thing. I just replaced the number dialer as yours is a little too messy. For the rest it's fantastic, just a couple of applications i don't use but... man what a look! :D
ok question. the animated row does not show up on my Iphone nor when you click on categories do I see the nifty enterprise. Is there another app i need from cydia? why do you think its not showing up? Just black.
@ bombthefueher i got Ipod touch witch i jailbroke with with then downgraded to 3.1.2 i got this theme on it, but could only get ione work on properly, also i don't have "Use Background.png" i only have a setting (Background Image" On or OFF. Having it on don't make any diference, the folders always have black backgrounds. Hope this help ya a bit bombthefueher...and if anyone can help me with the folder background problem and what not al be very greatfull..... Nice theme
not sure, dont have one! but it should, although some programs might not be available, but there are some options in the HowTo file, that comes when you download the theme, just have a look. The one on cydia wasnt updated, for some reason...

Hi - I am a huge STTNG fan, and I just completely modded my iPhone using your mods. I am really happy with the results - really an AWESOME job man, and everyone is equally impressed. Just perfect! Now, bring out MORE than just the first two screens! :) :) :) - Fantastic!!!
Great question! I would think that rather than concentrate on specific apps, create more design for additional categories, for apps to be further organized and filed in. Also, try concentrating on more social networking, like FaceBook - that is a big one with everyone I know! LOL... Again, EVERYONE who sees my iphone now is in shock and really impressed! THANK YOU for all of your hard work!!!
One more thing - replace some of the outdated apps. I have Cycorder, but it really stinks compared to the interface of social networking with apps like iVideorecorder and iCamcorder - both of those seemlessly integrate with youtube uploads and such, and are much more user friendly. Just a thought :) I still placed the Cycorder icon where it goes though, to keep my Lcars theme looking the way it should on my phone ;)
I have a few problems. I have no charge/take off charge sounds, I tried doing this manually but to no avail. In my categories I have no picture of the Enterprise just the bar which is normally above the dock on the home screen.
I also have some request. It would be great to see the pop-up box when you receive a text to be in the style of the theme as well as backgrounds for settings and other pages.

Not 100% sure, try it out, there might be one or two missing icons. If so, use categories to create the missing icon, its just a workaround. And get back to me, which Icon I will need to make!
So I was playing around with the theme and found that u don't have to download the missing programs, can if u want, I used the "Categories" app. I created a file for each of Apps. I was missing and then renamed them with the missing Apps. names. You do end up with a empty folder but I figured not really using up memory. I need to know how I can go into the files and change the names of the png buttons to reflect any future or present apps. I also want to customize the typewriter with cal. png
With Firmware 3.0+ you need to use different ways to modify the keyboard as they are now Vector. I've been looking into this most of the day now. iTypeFastr or iAccess are the only way at this time and neither is going to get the keyboard to the state it would need to be.
this is working almost perfectly for me. amazing theme, but the category backgrounds are just not showing up for me. i have "use background image" checked for each category, but it is still just black. any suggestions?
Hi I love what u did :) Great vid. Not everything worked right away, I didn't have all the apps. I manage to download them but the cycorder and the finder doesn't work on my phone, it doesn't matter, I only downloaded them to make them as puzzle piece , so to speak. It looks and acts just like yours! I also figured out that u can still hold down the apps icons and move them around on the sb.
Brilliant WBtheme can't wait for the updates in 2010. I haven't changed the theme since I downloaded it!
A little tip for anyone like minded; I created a new catorgory called 'remote' before downloading 'Remote' from iTunes, now I can put apps like VLC Remote, Air Mouse, Sky + Recorder and of course Apple's 'Remote' in the folder and WinterBoard changes the catagory icon to the appropriate ipadd themed icon.
Anyone know why the "Star Trek LCARS SBSettings" theme doesn't seem to work on 3.0.1? I download the app from Cydia, but it does not appear in Winterboard?

Thank you so much for this amazing theme and all your hard work! I personally own a iPod Touch 3rd Gen.. the theme installed fine, but was broken icon wise due to not having all the programs and features the iPhone have. You CAN make this theme work perfectly though! Using iPhoneBrowser and replacing the icon files, it's insanely easy.. I can try and post a tutorial sometime if there is enough interest from non-iPhone users.
For future custom icons, may I suggest making one icon that replaces the icon for all popular weather apps (The Weather Channel, Accuweather, etc.), one that replaces the icon for all popular Twitter apps (Twitterific, Twittelator, etc.), one that replaces the icon for popular IM apps (AIM, BeeJive, etc.), etc. Since one most likely only uses 1 weather app, 1 Twitter app, 1 IM app, etc., you could use the same icon to replace every app's icon and the enduser would install whatever app they like.
Awesome theme, have been using it since the very first release. However I've never been able to get background.png to show up for the Applications folder: enabling this option for that category has always given me a totally black background. Additionally if you use background.png for the Internet folder as soon as you have more than 9 apps in it, it spills over onto the background image which takes up the upper right hand portion of the screen.
Both points well noted, I really dont know why the Applications icon does ot work...as to the other background, I had made it to fit my needs originally :D now I have more in there too, maybe I'll have to change it next time. Docking sound ist also defect...

brilliant theme, the only thing i dont like is how tri-tone text message sound has been over written. its the only good tone and i would like to have it with the theme.

Vet nice. Would you be willing to do a minor update for the 3GS. Cycorder and finder are not required. Over 9.5/10 Pretty much the best one out there .. all it needs is a ring tone.
This is THE AWSOME!!! I downloaded it on Friday and have been in amazement all weekend. I just need to make an appropriate ringtone now... maybe that alarm sound when they go to red alert.

I just have zu rename the ICON png´s in the:

and not with the "rename" app
But i Have another problem because the backround png´s are not displaced and the settings in my Categories looks different as in the Video.

Do you speak German? I've seen that your provider is O2-DE.
Is it possible to modify this Theme? I would change any sounds, e.g. for sending message. That sound is usually for "input access denied" in LCARS.

@elizabethdante Try renaming the Icon so that it fits the App. Usually it is exactly how it is spelled on the springboard (Case sensitive!!)

iphone 3GS vs. 3.1.2
*I don't have any of the images that show up in the Games Folder and other similar subfolders. The animated Wallpaper appears on all pages unless I turn the background image off, in which case there is just a black screen.
*Also, I had to get the "LCARS Animated Wallpaper" in addition to the "Star Trek TNG LCARS" in order to get the animated wallpaper.
*Furthermore, I have not been able to find Installer on Cydia.
Any suggestions?

thank you very much 4 this fantastic theme!!! i got it on my iphone as i get the jailbreack for 3.1.3 (finally) the only issue is the impossibility to apply the wallpapers on the categories, nothing to do, pity... i saw this is not just my problem, try to see if u can fix this thing. I just replaced the number dialer as yours is a little too messy. For the rest it's fantastic, just a couple of applications i don't use but... man what a look! :D

@ bombthefueher i got Ipod touch witch i jailbroke with with then downgraded to 3.1.2 i got this theme on it, but could only get ione work on properly, also i don't have "Use Background.png" i only have a setting (Background Image" On or OFF. Having it on don't make any diference, the folders always have black backgrounds. Hope this help ya a bit bombthefueher...and if anyone can help me with the folder background problem and what not al be very greatfull..... Nice theme

not sure, dont have one! but it should, although some programs might not be available, but there are some options in the HowTo file, that comes when you download the theme, just have a look. The one on cydia wasnt updated, for some reason...

Great question! I would think that rather than concentrate on specific apps, create more design for additional categories, for apps to be further organized and filed in. Also, try concentrating on more social networking, like FaceBook - that is a big one with everyone I know! LOL... Again, EVERYONE who sees my iphone now is in shock and really impressed! THANK YOU for all of your hard work!!!

One more thing - replace some of the outdated apps. I have Cycorder, but it really stinks compared to the interface of social networking with apps like iVideorecorder and iCamcorder - both of those seemlessly integrate with youtube uploads and such, and are much more user friendly. Just a thought :) I still placed the Cycorder icon where it goes though, to keep my Lcars theme looking the way it should on my phone ;)

I have a few problems. I have no charge/take off charge sounds, I tried doing this manually but to no avail. In my categories I have no picture of the Enterprise just the bar which is normally above the dock on the home screen.
I also have some request. It would be great to see the pop-up box when you receive a text to be in the style of the theme as well as backgrounds for settings and other pages.
Great work on the theme, it's a wonderful theme and very cool!.

The charge sound was an error, something went wrong converting the file, didn't notice until it was too late...

Not 100% sure, try it out, there might be one or two missing icons. If so, use categories to create the missing icon, its just a workaround. And get back to me, which Icon I will need to make!

So I was playing around with the theme and found that u don't have to download the missing programs, can if u want, I used the "Categories" app. I created a file for each of Apps. I was missing and then renamed them with the missing Apps. names. You do end up with a empty folder but I figured not really using up memory. I need to know how I can go into the files and change the names of the png buttons to reflect any future or present apps. I also want to customize the typewriter with cal. png

With Firmware 3.0+ you need to use different ways to modify the keyboard as they are now Vector. I've been looking into this most of the day now. iTypeFastr or iAccess are the only way at this time and neither is going to get the keyboard to the state it would need to be.

Hi I love what u did :) Great vid. Not everything worked right away, I didn't have all the apps. I manage to download them but the cycorder and the finder doesn't work on my phone, it doesn't matter, I only downloaded them to make them as puzzle piece , so to speak. It looks and acts just like yours! I also figured out that u can still hold down the apps icons and move them around on the sb.

Brilliant WBtheme can't wait for the updates in 2010. I haven't changed the theme since I downloaded it!
A little tip for anyone like minded; I created a new catorgory called 'remote' before downloading 'Remote' from iTunes, now I can put apps like VLC Remote, Air Mouse, Sky + Recorder and of course Apple's 'Remote' in the folder and WinterBoard changes the catagory icon to the appropriate ipadd themed icon.

It is not a Winterboard theme! You have to activat it from within SBSettings!

Thank you so much for this amazing theme and all your hard work! I personally own a iPod Touch 3rd Gen.. the theme installed fine, but was broken icon wise due to not having all the programs and features the iPhone have. You CAN make this theme work perfectly though! Using iPhoneBrowser and replacing the icon files, it's insanely easy.. I can try and post a tutorial sometime if there is enough interest from non-iPhone users.

For future custom icons, may I suggest making one icon that replaces the icon for all popular weather apps (The Weather Channel, Accuweather, etc.), one that replaces the icon for all popular Twitter apps (Twitterific, Twittelator, etc.), one that replaces the icon for popular IM apps (AIM, BeeJive, etc.), etc. Since one most likely only uses 1 weather app, 1 Twitter app, 1 IM app, etc., you could use the same icon to replace every app's icon and the enduser would install whatever app they like.

Awesome theme, have been using it since the very first release. However I've never been able to get background.png to show up for the Applications folder: enabling this option for that category has always given me a totally black background. Additionally if you use background.png for the Internet folder as soon as you have more than 9 apps in it, it spills over onto the background image which takes up the upper right hand portion of the screen.

Both points well noted, I really dont know why the Applications icon does ot work...as to the other background, I had made it to fit my needs originally :D now I have more in there too, maybe I'll have to change it next time. Docking sound ist also defect...

It should not have ANYTHING to do with SSH.
Look in Winterboard, there are THREE LCARS themes now, one is the main theme and the other two are
LCARS Animated WP
LCARS WP
choose the animated one, AND the normal theme.

This is THE AWSOME!!! I downloaded it on Friday and have been in amazement all weekend. I just need to make an appropriate ringtone now... maybe that alarm sound when they go to red alert.
I was about to unjailbreak my phone and go to 3.0 but now I'll give it a little more time before I upgrade. I don't want to lose this app. Thanks :)

i got it on my 3.1.3 iphone, just jailbroken so, no problem, after the update u can reinstall the theme again!
i use commship sound as ringtone, found it in MP3 then converted it with iRinger
