  • First the Blue Danube is a Waltz; nothing in this art seems to coincide with waltz music. Second the Danube in no way suggests Rome or Florence or other areas of Renaissance Italy where Michelangelo lived & worked. Third Strauss is relatively speaking somewhat modern when we think of the period of history when these works were created; You could just as easily & convincingly used something by Berg, Stravinsky, Tippett, Webern or John Adams. The music , though nice, doesn't fit the video.
