I think the only link you can draw is the connection, that evolves between Nathan Algren and the woman Taka in the movie. The woman stopped hating him, began to love him and made herself vulnerable with that. You can clearly see her despair, when, in the end, he leaves for battle... well of course the fighting in this video had nothing to do with it.

Oh well, thats the sake of youtube. Gets us thinking (and correcting bandnames)
