The evidence against her is so weak it wouldn't even make it past the DA's desk in America. Italy, a country I know and love, has a bias against Americans, not as bad as some countries in Europe but a bias none the less. I know for a fact she didn't get a fair trail, but you can't convict a person for murder when there is ZERO evidence against them. Law experts from around Europe and inside Italy have said publicly that the police destroyed the crime scene at very beginning.
