  • My vid is the version that you can find in the Indiana Jones last crusade movie ;)

  • We Germans have at least a hundred laws against Nazism, but you guys don't. Go fuck yourself if you think Germans are Nazis.

  • @DirgeOfTheSeraphim Ja! Down with haters! Up with the good!

  • Part of it sounds like "The Saints Go Marching On", a Yankee march during the "civil war"

  • This is not a Third reich song....

It was made in the 2nd reich, and used before the first world war...

Now granted, it was used in WWII and the third reich it's more 1866 - 1945.

  • gosto so do ritmo ,odeio os nazistas ,aqueles fascistas filhos da puta

  • @MultiCacoloco the actual german people are NOT nazi, motherfucker and im not german im mexican-los alemanes actuales NO son nazi, hijo de puta y no soy aleman soy mexicano

  • I listen to this and think of all the wonder that was Germany BEFORE Hitler.

My grandparents came over directly from the Fatherland before my father was born, and I remember many wonderful songs, zither, yodel, black forest choral, and marching bands, that had nothing to do with Hitler's sad moment in history.

Much of what you hear is from Germany's proud heritage before he came to power.

  • amazing!

  • @pomfan45 fuck you

  • @MrAndres158 agreed :)

  • I don't picture Hitler at all when I hear this march. I associate it with the glorious days of the German Empire under Bismarck and Kaiser Wilhelm 1.

  • agreed

  • I hate Nazis but this song is bada*s.

  • "My boy, we're pilgrims in an unholy land."

  • @TheAltair4 made me laugh, hehe

  • @TheAltair4 the holy land ;)

  • How would you pronounce the name of the march in german?

  • @redstar5583 Put "Der königgrätzer Marsch" into Google translate. Sounds like 'Dehr Koo-nish-grey-tzer marsh' and you roll the 'r' :)

  • Comment removed

  • @SupaRaptaJesus The Königgrätzer Marsch (Armiemarsch II, 134 (Armiemarsch II, 195)) is a famous German military march composed by Johann Gottfried Piefke after the Battle of Königgrätz, 1866, the decisive battle of the Austro-Prussian War.....wikipedia rocks.

  • Anyone else remember this song from Call of Duty World at War?

  • That crescendo that starts at about 1:51 is fantastic! One of, if not THE best military marches ever. Great the way Hohenfriedberger is incorporated. Makes me wanna shoulder my needle gun and go fight Austrians (or French, or with whomever else Bismark was quarreling).

  • During both the world wars, the Germans and their allies committed the most terrible war crimes that you can imagine. But who has ever heard of the 10 million Germans who had to leave the 'Ostgebieten' (the present day West, North-West, North East and South East Poland)? Who has ever heard heard of the Japanese body parts taken by the American soldiers? In fact, no war has a winner, there are only those who lose (lives, possesions, land, etc...).

  • I love Serbia!!!

  • ja JAAA wunderbar!!!

  • I love how this piece is used in The Last Crusade. As a matter of fact, its the reason I'm here in the first place. It's one of the best scenes of the film. Especially when Hitler signs the diary. :)

  • @MusicInvestigation I can picture Indy's response to Mutt when he discovers the diary.

"Hey Old Man! I found this book in Gramps' stuff..."

  • Indiana Jones.

    :D

  • Serbia is winer in WWI war!!! viva Serbia

  • @Bavic88 Fuck Serbia. Fuck the nationalists serbs who started WW1. Serbia wins WW1 in treaty and paper. In the war front, Serbia got fucked up by Bulgaria in less than 3 months. Long live Central Powers, fuck the entente shit

  • @xxpoonednoobxx WW1 began because of growing nationalism and militarism in all countires in Europe and Asia. Oppresive rulers became greedy and Serbia was the first one too revolt agaisnt this greed. The Central Powers were oppressive rulers whose empires couldn't contain thier greed. So I ask you. Why do you support the Central Powers?

(And please don't respond with constant swearing as you did in you reply to Bavic88, it makes you look foolish and incompetent)

  • @YetAnotherUrMomJoke Serbia is the first one to revolt because Serbs are fools, they think about Great Serbia which was Yugoslavia and they got it. Although theu're army got completely defeated, they all escaped to Italy by Albania. But at the end, their allies won and founded they're great Serbia, a country with massive nationalism. But 20 years later, again this great Serbia was owned by Germans and Germans also owned France and the West Europe. Once again, stupid USA comes and changes all...

  • @xxpoonednoobxx On battle of Cer 1914 we are lost 15 000 soldiers, but you Germans and Austrians lose much more, you have lose 30 000 soldiers and that is a first victory for entente...so gone and suck may big big SERBIAN dick!!!

PS: Long live mother of Russia, Long live Serbia and all slavic countries!!!

  • @Bavic88 yes, and lets look at how many soldiers were lost TOTAL between your two countries? look at Iwo Jima, the US lost WAAAY more than double the Japanese losses, yet there were still more japanese casualties overall. By the way, Russia backed out of that war ENTIRELY. so to flaunt one battle is just stupid.

    <3 your friend from Canada

  • you germans think you're SOOOOO cool don'tcha

  • @BestMattBeast Why yes, we do.

  • @ProGermany96 eastern front. fail.

  • @NottinghamForest22

Ikr? we they were doin pretty good. why attack russia though? i like russia.

  • Do not let the favs and likes of a 12 year two-bit German tyrant destroy centuries of great German history and traditions.

  • This march was written in 1866 to commemorate the Battle of Koniggratz. Every German march is rumored to be "Hitler's Favorite" from Ride of the Valkyries to Alte Kameraden. Nobody really knows. Best to just enjoy the music and not be filled with angst over it.

  • @SpeedyNeutrino43 well one thing is for sure: it sure as hell wasn't Prussens Gloria!

  • FUCK YOU, AUSTRIANS!!!

Haha, jp, but you Austrians got yo butts kick at Koniggratz...

    Long Live Prussia!!!

  • where can i download this song does anybody know

  • This is a Prussian marching song and its awesome.

  • As a Prussian -American I have become tired of the march form being constantly compared to the Nazi aesthetic. In our time the real Nazi aesthetic has been expressed by the likes of performances by Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones and the entire Rock and Roll culture. The Rock Concert is a type of Nuremberg rally.Put a square mustache on Mick Jagger and you will see what I mean.Hitler in old age .

  • All of these wonderful German Army marches have ANYTHING to do with the Nazi's. They are marches from the German Imperial Army....

  • The person who posts these PRE NAZI ERA German marches is a Muslim from Pakistan... There were Nazi SS units recruited form the Boznian Muslims during WW II who killed over 800,0000 Serbian Orthodox Christians and 40,000 Serbian Jews. Hitler loved Islam, in fact he once said that he wished the Germans had been converted to Islam because Islam was a "religion" that suited the German character. Islam is invading Europe and Muslims LOVE the Nazi's... For reasons no of you can yet grasp....

  • because of that austrians call germans "piefke" until today, because when the prussians marched towards vienna, gottfried piefke and his brother were marching in front of moltkes troops and the viennese people said "the piefkes are coming".

as I wrote germany got united for the first time afterwards, before that there was never something like germany (so austria was never part of germany except during the nazi time). austria was an empire that time already and the 2nd largest state in europe

  • this march was written by gottfried piefke after the battle of königgrätz were the prussian-led north german alliance defeated the austrian-led german alliance. the prussians marched towards vienna through austrian bohemia playing this march. the war started because austria made holstein free after the war against denmark and prussia wanted to annex schleswig and holstein. after the war prussia forced the german states to unite and form the first german empire (1871)..it was the birth of germany

  • u bastard nazi so ein mist im mexican

  • @jonatan4532 ......I'm disappointed with you this is prussian not nazi. people these days

  • I always thought this piece was made up for the Berlin scene in Last Crusade. I am officially pleasantly surprised.

Still though, I can't get the image of "Der Fuhrer" signing the Grail Diary. I can imagine Mutt asking his dad about it.

  • @Martintheauthor Signing with the wrong hand, too.

  • ALL I HAVE TO DO IS SQUEEZE!

  • Why is it that everyone under thirty seems unable to refer to historical events except in the context of movies?

  • Heil!!! Heil!!!

  • Very powerful performance! Do you know if Kunzel is conducting?

  • WaW!!!!

  • VICTORY BELONGS TO GERMANY!!!!!!!

    -COD WAW

  • @ihatewebkinz1234 ahahahahah yeah i was just about to write exactly the same

  • @TheFirstAngloSaxon what an amazing game lol

  • Awesome song!! Its sooo....happy. It makes you want to parade around in a wierd outfit

  • Very uplifting marching song. They also played this in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The part where he goes back for the diary and meets Hitler in the book burning march in Berlin. That movie rules and so does this song.

  • its an inspiring song i can see why Hitler used it. terrible man smart but terrible

  • jay go german!!!

  • I understand why people associate this march with Nazis, but that doesn't make such an association correct. True, it was Hitler's favourite march, but it wasn't Hitler's march. Joseph Goebbels himself said his favourite film was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Does that make it a Nazi film? No, it doesn't.

  • @HandtoHandWombat the goebbels thing made me laugh

  • @HandtoHandWombat Hitler did make a comment about Mickey Mouse being "silly," to which Disney somewhat stupidly replied something to the effect of: "So Hitler thinks Mickey Mouse is silly? Won't Mr. Hitler feel silly when Mickey saves his life someday?"

  • @HandtoHandWombat Hitler once called Mickey Mouse "silly" and Disney replied back in a somewhat immature fashion, saying that one day Mickey might save Hitler's life, and wouldn't "A. Hitler" feel silly then.

  • @HandtoHandWombat and snow white originated in Germany :D so did Frog Prince, Cinderella, etc.

  • @HandtoHandWombat hitler liked it an played it at every Nazi assembly so u have to give credit to those types of people tht never heard it an hear it at an assembly (act like its 1939) what would u do? think its nazi? probably. but some people think its nazi zolely on the fact it played at every nazi assembly an they dont know it was made during Koniggratz war with Prussia

  • @HandtoHandWombat well disney was antisemite, lol

  • @HandtoHandWombat this is actually a prussian tune

  • Simply beautiful and glorious!

  • this is a prussian song

  • @CommunismRulez Thank you! someone who knows history! You sir, win one free internets!

  • this song was used in the austro-prussian war?

  • @CommunismRulez Yes, after the Prussia victory over the Austrians at the battle fo Koniggratz (aka Sadowa i think)

  • this is my best march ever! gotta love the prussians:D

battle of konnigratz (which this song is wirtten for) rocks! wish i was there!

  • Does anyone suppose the Nazis will take control again? So help me God, if they don't kill Jews, welcome back, Hitler!!

    SIEG!

    HEIL!

  • this a beautiful piece of art, and if you think its a nazi song than ur mentally challenged.

  • Gelotch Goltchd

  • the song is Prussian it was written long before WW2 most of the marchs were Prussian for example Ich hatt einen kameraden (i had a comrade) was Prussian

  • How many French soldiers does it take to fend off a German invasion?

I don't know, they never tried.

  • Fuck yeah! I love Call of Duty.

  • VEECTORY BELONGS TO JEEERMINEEEEEEE!

    YAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

    /call of duty 5

  • A beautiful and stiring piece of music.

  • Comment removed

  • It's just a piece of music folks!

Why the hell does a video comment section on YouTube have to turn into a cesspool for the Anti-Semites and trollbait alike when a video has the word 'German' in it?

  • @ThePolandball I KNOW EVERYONE SHOULD PULL THERE HEAD OUT OF THERE COUNTRYS ARSE AND LOOK AT THE FACTS

  • @slayerfromabove The Likud Jews are a political party in Israel. Nothing more.

And Israel has to take a harsh policy towards the Palestinians to get the point across. After six wars in less than six decades, it's understandable.

  • @slayerfromabove The Likud Jews are a political party in Israel. Nothing more.

And Israel has to take a harsh policy towards the Palestinians to get the point across. After six wars in less than six decades, it's understandable.

  • @slayerfromabove The Likud Jews didn't even exist in an organized form until the 70s. It was the Arab High Committee that started it when they rejected the UN partition plan for Palestine and Israel.

And when you're attacked, and you have the distinct upper hand against an enemy, you don't quit while you're ahead. Almost every defensive war was fought that way. The US Civil War, WW1, WW2, the list goes on.

Borders expand when someone is winning a war. The victors go the spoils.

  • @slayerfromabove Not quite true. The British Mandate also extended out to Jews, promising them Israel, but the Muslims factions didn't want that. Again, Britain was the one who gave Israel to the Jews. Jerusalem was supposed to be split between the two, as an international city, but the Palestinians began attacking Jerusalem with little provocation.

  • @slayerfromabove The governments of these nations declare war on Israel, making the nation a fundamentalist nation. That aside, when Israel and Palestine were separated, it was only mere days later that the Palestinians began attacking the Jews in Jerusalem without any provocation. You could blame the British government perhaps, but it was their land and they did with it what they thought best, and recognized Israeli independence, ceding control to both Palestine and Israel.

  • @slayerfromabove When the Israeli fight back against the Palestinians, who are suicide bombing them and using child soldiers, the Israeli are hated for it.

I have sympathy for them. They went through a lot and are fighting for their very existence, because you know if they get conquered, the Muslims are gonna execute every single one who doesn't immediately convert. They're not nice people.

  • @slayerfromabove Jews earned their positions, in my opinion. Good business sense in a capitalist economy means you're gonna go places. As for Israel, well, the natives started it. I don't like the attitude so many people take towards them. Three million Jews went fleeing across the desert from all sorts of Muslim nations, because they were being oppressed there. Thousands were killed on the way, and when they arrive, the natives declare war on them six times.

  • The Koniggratzer Good song

    I Love it

  • The song was composed in 1866 you fucking idiots. Just like every other piece of music the germans used during world war two. God damn I hate when people talk about nazis.

  • Goku the japs started ww2 when they bombed pearl harbor. Thanks.

  • @elve5555 The war started before that. Pearl Harbor got the US into the war.

  • germany didnt start ww1 but did have a big role in it since germany got britain and the u.s. to join the fight and germany owed about 30 billion for the damage lol.they started ww2 thou and got sincerely screwed by everybody else

  • @gokumaster186 actually, if germany could've not been in the war, they could have taken poland and austria and the rest of the world didn't care since they were so close and had close similarities in culture, the war started because they started to threaten france

  • PRUSSIAN! THIS SONG IS PRUSSIAN YOU IDIOTS! This has nothing to do with Nazis! This song was made about 50 years before the Nazis were ever created. Get your facts straights before leaving stupid comments!

  • VICTORY BELONGS TO GERMANY!

  • I love this non-NAZI, Prussian song! It was written to celebrate the Prussian victory at the Battle of Koniggratz in 1857 I believe.

  • Why is the talk always about Hitler on these videos? this song doesnt have much to do with him other then the fact that its german really.

  • @Darthkewlness Hitler was Austrian, so it has nothing to do with him.

  • @Cainus44

Hitler took German citizenship in early 1930s so he could stand for government officially

  • @metallord999 Yeah, but he wasn't born in Prussia, had nothing to do with the Battle of Konigsburg, and the song predates his birth.

  • its a good march and has a good bass to it

  • Germans have great sense for music.

  • SS Marschiert in Feindesland and Die Fahne Hoch are so much better. Why did German military marches all of a sudden get much more bad ass when the National Socialists won power? Maybe the tunes flowed out of the depths of hell to grace Germany's glorious Anti-Christ army. All of European Christiandom would have fallen to the 3rd Reich if they would have only moved west rather than east toward the endless Soviet hordes. LoL. The Vatican would have been ashes eventually.

  • I just like the song !!!! lol

  • Hail Hitler!!

  • Зиг Хайль, товарищи!)))

  • wow there coment that are racist

  • Hope you guys know this song didn't originate with Hitler and the Nazi's... I don't turn to politics when I hear the beauty of this song. If it was made AS a nazi song, then i'd say "you gotta point," but even then I'd still listen to it, anyways.

  • @CharlesVariations

Prussian values have NOTHING to do with nazism anyway.

Prussia was a nation that one could have been proud of, as it's main virtues were faith, discipline and duty. Three things that society lack today, and only the extremists preach for :/

I despise the nazis for stealing most of the genuinly prussian.

  • @CharlesVariations

Absolutely right. This was a Prussian march appreciated all over Europe before Hitler ever touched it.

  • @CharlesVariations True its a really old song from 1800 made for the german victory over france or am i wrong Need to find my history book O.o

  • I hope he's rotting in hell where he belongs for all the evil things he did. that man was a monster.

  • Alles Duetsches Volke Seig Heil!

  • Shame you can't spell Deutsches.

  • @Schutzstafel1983 SIEG HAIL

  • burn books!! no, just kiddin!

  • how many times must i tell u ppl, its not nazi music, its just a marching song which happened to b hiters favorite song!

  • Yup, it was originally a prussian military march.

  • die nazis

  • nazis. hate these guys.

  • Anyone want to watch Indiana Jones now?

  • lol codwaw

  • 1935 I think not 1918...Hitler broke up the individual states so they couldn't break away or separate themselves from the Reich.

  • I just found a song for my next video :D

    Amazing march!

  • Oh no its Ze Germans, quickly children hide!

  • Remember Harry Potter? "After all, Voldemort did great things, terrible, but great." Same could be said of Hitler.

  • gratest military march ever this song not a nazi song its a preussen song

  • Be mad at Hitler all you want, but don't deny the benefits of the war. Hitler pulled Germany out of a major depression. The war pulled America out of one of the biggest depressions ever as well. As a result of the war, jet engines, parachutes, synthetic rubber, antibiotics and radar/sonar were invented. Also, Hitler proved just how bad racism could be and had a hand in ending major segregation. Finally, overpopulation is a serious problem. He did what noone else would and it helped.

  • And you can't handle the truth.

  • I WANT THE TRUTH

  • @XXflapjaxXX YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH! LOL

  • @theguy1122 no u

  • Wonderfully said,

It is quite fashonable to criticise everything about him, but the fact is the man did do what he said he was going to (even if he went to far) and was named Times man of the Year.

  • @woodman19 Yep. 1939

  • very true

  • @m415mike Yeah, and as a result, over 60 million people died.

  • @OzzyFan87 Closer to 70 million. Apparently you didn't read the last part. Overpopulation is a serious problem and is the root of virtually every major problem plaguing the world today.

  • @m415mike Over population is not the problem. Selfishness, materialism, and to much individualism is the problem.

  • @m415mike At the cost of millions of lives and more for their children. I know you're not saying it was a good thing, but is it worth it?

  • @m415mike AND OF COURSE... real music after the war..

  • @m415mike Yeah Mike, i'm sure the millions of dead people would be really happy that they died so that a country could get out of a depression it threw itself into on account of starting the first world war. If you think overpopulation is such a problem, why don't you willingly kill yourself and save the next hitler the bother of eradicating you?

  • @elmabullaz You fucking dipshit. Germany didn't start WW1. It was Bosnian terrorists working independent of the Bosnian government. They killed the leader of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Empire blamed the Bosnian state (perfectly reasonable given the tensions between the two), however, and declared war on them. Germany joined up with the Empire, and the allies came to the aid of the official aggressor, Bosnia.

  • @Cainus44 Serbian, not Bosnian.

  • @Omnikron228 My bad. Bosnia was the issue, not the aggressor.

  • @elmabullaz WW2 was the most important war in recent history, and the results were good for everyone involved. Don't belittle the accomplishments of Nazi Germany or anyone else who fought in that war.

Hitler was a maniac, but he was a damn good dictator.

  • @Cainus44 Results were good for *everyone* involved? What about the jews? You're a fucking moron

  • @elmabullaz They got Israel back. I would consider that a victory.

  • @Cainus44 You must be a troll haha... noone's that stupid :D

  • @elmabullaz Becoming a first world power practically overnight and getting the full backing of Britain and the US. That's a pretty huge victory, even given what happened with the Holocaust.

If you don't consider it a victory, then at least call it even.

  • @m415mike i'll admit the future benefits of the second world war were important to mankind. I'll also agree that such a destructive war was eventually inevitable and was probably for the the greater good. Hitler's intentions weren't that.

  • Apsolutely correct!

  • @m415mike he made the japanese blow up pearl harbour!!!!!

  • @Sonic134567898 no he did'nt.the japs were in a crisis because they had no natural resorces E.G rubber.they were worried that america was gonna intervien ....

    AS ALLWAYS

  • @m415mike you are so right dude. actually hitler is a great leader! very smart!!

  • @pnoiBOT great little in a perspective but horribbbllleee military tactician. Micro managed too much just like businesses today lol
