• Canada is well served by a monarchy, and it provides an extra check against the government. And it costs less then a president.

  • @apple2018 depends on what type of Presidency you are talking about

  • God Save our Queen! God save the Queen of Canada!

  • @brettstrut753 WOOT WOOT!

  • @brettstrut753

  • Don't forget.....we as Canadian citizens...paid for the Royal Monarchy....our incomes like Australien citizens..so a little piece our our income go directly into the Queen bank account.......but with the kind of stupid, cupid and no hearth kind of government we have in Quebec and Canada...its a very touch of healing to think than a great lady like Elisabeth2...have a little heart movement for us....:(

  • God Bless the Queen, and God Save the Queen!!!

A remarkable monarch and our Sovereign Leader!!

  • Meh, the royals are German anyway, what do they know >? :)

  • it is not a "Canadian" !!!! at best it is a tourist that most real Canadians could do without!

  • @modsterca Well then move to a republic these days, and then speak. eight of the top ten best nations in the world to live in are Monarchies. Canada is one of them. We do not serve the Queen but rather the Queen serves us. She has done a great job of it. Loyalty, service, devotion, honour, and respect are parts of the Queen of Canada's reign toward us. She has done it to perfection. If you like look at it as tourism, even there she sure knows how to bring the bucks in for trade.

  • GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!! (Blasting LOUD punk music)

Lets not forget that many war crimes have been commited by the British arround the world in the name of the "God, King (Queen) & Empire throughout its history. Lets all embrace this new "softer and enlightened Monarchy" before Harper sends us to one of his new jails.

"God save the queen 'Cause tourists are money"

check out 'God save the Queen' by The Sex Pistols on youTube if you have never heard of that punk band.

    See you at Tims.^^

  • My Canada includes a Monarch!

  • excellent speech. I wish I were born in England...

  • Born and raised in Canada. Totally support our sovereign. In case any of you haters say I'm a brainwashed monarch supporter with British ancestors, I am not. In fact, my parents came from Hong Kong and our descendents are all Han Chinese. My brother and I were just the lucky ones to be first generation Canadians. I love our queen and respect the sovereignty. Their own dramas are their own, but our queen represents us as an union of brothers and sisters. Long live the Queen! Long live Canada!

  • I wish all of the people on youtube that are from UK and hate Canada/Canadians would see this and stop being so rude and hating Canadians saying we are like Americans...Your damn queen is on all of our coins.....we like you, you hate us? come on now...

  • @scottspook I love Canada, not gonna lie. My Professor is a genius and came over to Britain from Canada a number of years ago. Apart from being ridiculously clever and worldly, he is well travelled and had many fantastic experiences, two being working for the national art gallery and also working on board HM yacht Britannia when she was still about. I have an enormous amount of respect and affection for him, and he's lead me to trust that Canada is a wholly wonderful country!

  • @scottspook as a Brit i can safely say i love Canada and all of its people. those who associate you with Americans are quite stupid since you have more connection with the UK :)

  • @dillsish exactly my point, my family, the sterritt name comes from tyrone ireland... my family were in fact immigrants from a region close to your country.. and my grandmother was born in Britain... so i find it very offensive when overly ignorant and stubborn Brits treat me wrong on either kinds of the social networks...especially when my heritage comes from the same place as they are living..i

  • @scottspook we dont hate you, you do get the odd un-educated keyboard warrior. most of us are proud of our shared heritage and blood ties, god forbid there is ever a war at least the commonwealth will be able to put together some very powerful military might, especially these days as the white commonwealth nations have grown

  • @alexandertory

    ..."un-educated..." Ahahahahahahah!!!

  • @yvonkcaouette you froggy bastards dont belong in canada! canada is an english speaking nation and you can fuck off back to frog land where all the other slug eating parasites come from, go and bum germany ya bunch of cowards and weak pussys

  • The best slaves are the ones who think they are free :)

  • @XSSocketman I don't see what this has to do with anything, every constitutional monarchy in Europe and North America have as many rights as any republic. In fact look at the United States who have a Guantonamo Bay, if anything I would say it is republican who are more deluded than monarchists in thinking that republic equals freedom. Far from it, Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia were republics and were far more repressive than any monarchy in history.

  • Are you Scots or are you English?

    na badman i-an-i Jamaican.

excuse one, while one lights ones spliff ...oh lawd the crown must take a lift.

Philip bring up me boombox an ting.

  • OH i do love the Queen. And i lvoe Canada. :D

  • i dont understand why bunch of twats still want a republic when you can clearly see the chaos and pathetic governance there is in America. Plus, republics spend more money than constitutional monarchies because politicians have no brakes when they spend for their reelection.

Look, Canada has AAA credit rating. America has AA credit rating. LOL

too many quebec haters but offer no substance.

Canada will always be a Commonwealth. no more american invasion!

  • Fuckin America, why can't we be like Canada?? Legal weed smokers & fuckin lenient law makers.

  • Thumbs up if your a monarchist and ageist abolishing it

  • we are still under rule of england.. niceeee

  • @Medysonball you are not under english rule, we all have seperate corrupt lieing law makers we are just fortuante enough as we share a non political head of state. the only public figure to ever keep there word, to spend there whole life whether it be long or short in the service of her people and to the service of our brotherhood of nations the commonwealth

  • @tantawi1992 Why bother eliminating the Monarch but keeping a Governor General? The GG represents the Monarch. You either have both or neither. The GG has no real influence over any of the daily happenings in the legislature anyway. They are the head of state in title only. World leaders do not discuss policy with the GG, rather with the PM. The position exists merely for tradition. If Canada is ever ready to separate itself from the British Monarch there would be no need to have a GG.

  • @nano4288 Its the Canadian Monarch hence the Title Queen of Canada

  • @nano4288 I thought the role of the Queen and G-General in Canada was to prorogue parliament in times of extreme governmental failure or crisis?

The power she possesses is also to approve/disapprove wars?

  • @Lishy1 No. The House of Commons has the de facto power over both of those things. While the GG must give approval for certain decisions, the cases in which the GG does no listen to the recommendation of the House are incredibly rare. It's a formality based on tradition, nothing else.

  • @nano4288 Wrong. The House of Commons doesn't prorogue itself. The executive (a Minister of the Crown) tenders advice to the Governor-General (representative of the monarch) who generally accepts the advice makes it happen. Parliament doesn't call itself, Parliament doesn't prorogue itself and elections don't simply happen because a couple MPs desire one.

  • No, she's a kiwi!!! lol!!!

  • @Tlb91UK, Only 16 nations belong to the Commonwealth realm wherein Queen Elizabeth is head of state. Fourteen were once British Colonies; today they are all INDEPENDENT SOVERIGN STATES. The 16 are: United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Jamaica, Antigua & Barduda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, St Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu. Over 7 million sq. miles of rule & 135 million taxpayers support Britain’s “royalty.”

  • @tinketteful

HM Queen Elizabeth II is also Head of State in the 14 British Overseas Territories. These are: -

Anguila, Bermuda, British Antartic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn Islands, Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia and Turks and Caicos Islands.

  • omg I never knew Canada was part of the Commonwealth :S!!

  • @herafan5 you never knew canada was in the commonwealth lol, we are a big family haha,

  • @alexandertory Ton commonwealth....TU PEUX T'LE FOURRER DANS l'CUL....PLOUC !!!

  • 1:10

lol changing nationalities when you land in country doesn't make you a part of that nation.

She seems like a nice lady, but lets face it she was born into that role. It doesn't make her better than anyone else.

  • She really loves Canada.

  • @BritishRoyalFilms its her biggest and best piece of real estate with the most gullible sheeple!

  • @BritishRoyalFilms of course she does...the crown has been pillaging the Canadian people for centuries. she is a parasitic tourist and her delusional ilk should be abolished from the face of the earth!

  • @modsterca Ilk you mean her unending service to Canada and her subjects? pillaging you say? quite a feat considering she only visits a few times a year, I don't want a response your idiotic opinions have no business appearing on this video I and the rest of the viewers agree! please if you want a republic go to America and enjoy watching politicians destroy your life!

  • @BritishRoyalFilms Elle vient mettre son gros pif dans les affaires de mon pays...hého, l'Angliche !!!

  • @yvonkcaouette canada is not your country froggy, so she didnt put her "conk" in anything, yes I too can speak french!

  • *brofists United Kingdom*

  • This is a great story, but probably never happened. Royal protocol dictates that one should never ask a direct question to a monarch (they are to drive the conversation) so it is highly unlikely two gents presented to the queen started peppering her with questions about her heritage. Even if they had, the queen would have not answered since they broke royal protocol. Nice try, Elizabeth.

  • @MARCBSTN Not so, you are requested only to address the queen if spoken to, however, once addressed there is nothing stopping you asking her a question as part of a conversation. Other than that, it is generally accepted that she will decide when a conversation is over.

  • @henniganwilson Well, it is just seems fabricated to me

  • @MARCBSTN more than likely....but then what else do you ask the queen :)

  • @MARCBSTN That isn't breaking royal protocol, and your entire comment is void for the fact that The Queen Mum, a queen dowager, was not a monarch.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @MARCBSTN But lying is not against royal protocol? I would think that engaging in unsolicited conversation is less of a breach of protocol than lying. When given the two choices, I'm inclined to believe the story.

  • Canada!!!!!

  • God bless the Queen, we love her here in Canada.

  • @postquebec LolFrance.

  • I have never been so proud to live in Quebec!

  • The newlywed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are coming here to Southern California in July. It's usually our hottest month (temps in the 90s/100s) so I hope they will be staying near the beach.

  • @szqsk8 Yup,after they visit canada on our national day. It's williams first time ever in the USA..

  • I think people in the US need some european sophistication and non plastic old culture that's why they were even more excited than some brits about the wedding. And I can say that since i'm neutral -argentine-. God save the Queen (since I don't fancy Prince Charles that much lol) =)

  • @INIGUEZELI - Americans love the Royal Family because America is celebrity-infested. Celebrities are worshiped there. And, Americans lost the ability a long time ago to distinguish between the famous & the infamous. That's why you see people like Charlie Sheen & Lindsey Lohan in the news constantly.

Canada is a Commonwealth country, and we have a deeper connection to the Royal Family than shallow Americans. We used to sing "God Save The Queen" when I went to school. You don't forget that.

  • @ApocalypsePlough I know :) NZ is the most british country I ever been anyway (even more than britain itself!). What i said about the yanks was meant to be a joke.. i don't want any cowboy crying because of it that's why i'm making it clear :P. have a good day

  • I am eighth canaidian, I'm english :D

  • The Canadian Monarch is impartial and ensures there is a democratic government in place to secure freedoms for Canadians. The head od state and head of government are two seperate positions. I am Canadian by descent and proud of our rich heritage.

  • @lasbagman1 God Save The Queen

  • May god save the Queen!

  • God Save the Queen!

  • On the Royal visit to Hamilton, 1939, my mother, Evelyn, and the Pigott family, were on the 8th floor of the Pigott Building, an 18 storey shyscraper, the only one in the city. Built in 1929, two years before the Empire State building was built. As the Queen & King passed, the Queen gestured upward to the Pigott Building. One of the family said, "Look, Eve, there is the Queen and she is saying to the King: "There is Eve Pigott, and she's pregnant again:" (Pregnant with me, born July 5, 1939).

  • long live the queen

  • @adub4ever Hey, King George Vl was a great man. And the Monarchy costs us no more than a president would. Yes I would go the open market in Hamilton with my father, Roy Pigott, VP of Pigott Construction(the builder of the first ROM) to get Head cheese and Tongue that my father loved. That market was the largest open air market in the British Empie at the time...in the 1940's. Please show proper respect...and drop the obsenities! You have no sense of our National History, Thank You!

  • @adub4ever - Only an American would say that.

    You jealous American prick.

  • @strongarmeric my thoughts exact

  • @strongarmeric - keep it up ...... with each post you dig yourself in a little deeper.

Did you know Prince William and Kate are coming to Canada for their first foreign visit?

Are you gonna come up and see them? For an American, especially for an American male, you seem to have quite the interest in the monarchy.

  • P.S. - God Save The Queen!

  • @ApocalypsePlough Thats right mofo I watched the wedding, just because people from certain countries like to run their mouths about another people cause they love using our stuff but hate us don't mean I hate that country, thats called being an adultand sorting out the shit talkers, but like their usually mad to though XD

  • @strongarmeric - why don't you fuck off?

It's the same bs with Yanks - "get off YouTube. it was invented by Americans."

A Scott-Canadian - Alexander Graham Bell - invented the phone. so, that phone jack plugged into your wall connected to your modem? - disconnect it, because it was invented by a Scott-Canadian. use a Blackberry? stop using it, as it's another Canadian invention. know anyone diabetic that needs insulin? Tell them to stop using it, because it was also invented by a Canadian.

  • Normally I wouldn't reply to assholes like you, but, why are you even here? you clicked on a YouTube video with the title "I am a Canadian" : Queen Mum", so you could come here and say a bunch of shit about Canadians. what other reason could it be than jealousy? Canada has a monarchy and you don't.

"Canada has a monarchy and we don't ... boo hoo, boo hoo ... so, (sniff) get off of YouTube ... (sniff) .... because we invented it .... (sniff).

FUCK OFF, you worthless piece of garbage.

  • @GuyTooShy Wooo Hooo I don't use old ass dial up thank you very much, and I don't use a blackberry, also American's made the first PC and MAC......which you are talking smack from right now hahahaha!

  • So what the british invented the train the car the "TELVEISON" most things to name a few even the jet engine yet they like too take credit for things they never even invented rather stole from us first also the united states would never have been what it is today without England.

  • Comment removed

  • @charlieiscool1000 The automobile as we know it (not the steam powered ones...) is an invention by Karl Benz, television is based on such a large number of technical devices that it is really not up to one single nation to claim it's invention...as if a nation as a whole ever invented one thing...e.g. Ferdinand Braun invented the CRT. Read Jared Diamond's "Guns, Germs, and Steel" to better understand why technical progress happened when and where. Nothing a "nation" should take pride in.

  • @GuyTooShy :)

  • The Queen is very expensive to me- I mean she really is. She is on the 20 dollar bill, and everytime she leaves me, I feel poorer.

  • @bfoaliali Now that's a great sense of humor! A twenty dollar bill goes pretty quick these days...a few visits to Tim Horton's Coffee Shop, that's all it takes!

  • riveting debate made me lol!

  • No Offense I love being British but why is she the Queen of countries like Canada? I don't see the purpose of it at all beside Dignity(that's about it). I hate to be reminded of Colonialism everyday

  • @RealDefentertainment its for canadians and british, who are culturaly the same

  • Why does Canada not have the confidence to have a Canadian as head of state instead of a wealthy woman from England?

  • @TomBarry192I the queen holds canadian citizenship, and costs canadians nothing, where as a elected head of state, would cost plenty, she is a figure head of the ancestral ties of both britain and canada

  • @broadband01 Mrs Windsor who masquerades as a queen owns 90% of canadian land. How does she not cost anything?

  • @TomBarry192I more reason to keep her then:O)

  • @broadband01 You really are a typical subservient.

  • @TomBarry192I Who says we don't have confidence?? Canada has confidence in an institution which has guided and guarded this great nation for centuries. The monarchy is part of a thousand year old tradition that works. Not that I expect an Irish Republican who is a fan of Che Guevara to understand tradition.

  • @TorreyGilday The monarchy does not work. They recieve hand outs from the working people. Why do you lower yourself to show respect these out of date elitists.

  • @TomBarry192I How does it not work?? Whose standard are you using??

At any rate, the monarchy does not receive handouts. In the UK, they turn over all their revenues to the government and in return are granted a small amount for expenses. The Canadian taxpayer do pay for costs associated with Royal homecomings, but such costs are hardly more than what would be needed to support a Canadian president.

I respect me them because I trust them more than any politician.

  • @TorreyGilday They dont work ie labour. They sponge of their citizens in Britain to live a life of luxury in palaces. Presidents are elected by the people. You already pay for your prime minister...replace him with a president. No extra cost. What trust do you need in a Queen or King, they live their lives in extreme wealth. They visit your country, wave for a few days and go back hom to their palaces.

  • @TomBarry192I And you tombarry and you filth ridden family have lived on state handouts for most of the 20th century haven't you. Oh I know your sort tombarry. you are a craven and yellow maggot.......the thing is tombarry, you are an anachronism, a pathetic parody of what happened in the 20th century, no one wants your sort and no one cares about your sort. It is over, the PIRA are beat and that is that..accept that fact and get a job you idle poncing mick!

  • @TomBarry192I I take it you class yourself as working people tom? The Royals cost us 89 pence each and thankfully we are above cretins like you. Tom, better off that we think you a fool, rather than you write something and remove all doubt.

  • @MrMickroach You give 89p per person from a total population of 60 million to a bunch of parasites and you claim to be above people? we all know where you come in the pecking order with your slavish mindset.

  • @TomBarry192I Yes tombarry, I am a subject and a loyal one at that. You are a parasite, nothing more than a pathetic parasite. And in your mindest, you want all to be equal, providing you and your sort are in charge.

  • @MrMickroach You are loyal to parasites who suck money from your own people, do you live in a palace? You're a laughing stock.

  • @TomBarry192I The only parasites I see are those who live in my country and take what my country gives, then shouts the odds. Tell you what tombarry, give back all you have been given by the taxpayer and maybe you can hold your head up. Till then, you worm,
