No, I'm referring to a scene from the regular series, early in the 17th season. It happened shortly before the adults met Snuffy. You can read all about it in the book "Sesame Street: Unpaved." It's available on the Internet.
If there's one Snuffy moment I want to see (especially considering I've only read about it), it's his tearful goodbye to Big Bird from 1985. Does anyone know about that, or have it?
are you referring to the scene from "Follow That Bird" where Big Bird and Snuffy say goodbye to each other before Big Bird leaves to live with the Dodos?
Coincidentally, I recently wrote a poem called "Best Friend Blues", about my best friend, Leah, who graduated from my high school the year before I did, and is most likely finished with college by now. She means the world to me.
This must have been one of Jim Henson's last performances as Ernie, judging by the those buildings in the background--I think those were first added to the set in 1989--before that there was always just blue sky there (which actually didn't make much sense, perspective-wise.)
It's cool that Henson's Ernie got to appear on the street itself one more time before Henson kicked it, since that was rare by then.
You know, seeing both Ernie and Snuffy having the Best Friend Blues makes me feel sad, too, but then I feel much better when they decide to play together at the end.
Hoots asks Ernie if he wants to sing a Rubber Duckie song, even though at the moment he doesn't have a duckie to put down.

At least this time Ernie actually knows that Bert is sick, unlike a decade and a half ago.

Funny is, that Bert and (Big) Bird sound very similar.

Because both of them are Jewish Characters. I think Snuffy is a Jew too.

What year is this skit from?
CalvinMcFarland 4 years ago
'89 or '90, given the fact that Snuffy was revealed in '85, Henson died in '90 and the buildings you see in the background were added in '89

This is probably the only time Ernie has rod arms.

Seeing these two together is a great novelty!
