Then I understood, but what I don't understand what's with the fake Zanarkand or something like that... It's 'cause Tidus is a dream of the fayth? Maybe the War began before everything? I don't think it's after since in FFX Sin destroyed Zanar and took Tidus... I'm confused, SOMEONE EXPLAIN! T_T Everything just adds up in FFX-2!!

Yu Yevon knew Zanarkand was not going to win and he didn't want Bevelle to destroy Zanarkand so he took the surviving summoners and citizens to Mt. Gagazet and turned them into fayth. Together they came up with a dream version of Zanarkand. Tidus is from that Zanarkand. Yu Yevon then created Sin.
Fast forward 1000 years, Tidus is born in DZ. And Sin destroys DZ. Sin then takes Tidus to Spira.
You know what gets me confused? Is that Lenne was a summoner in Zanarkand, right? Got that down, but Tidus if from Zanarkand too. He would've heard about summoners I'm sure and he never mentioned that he knew a little of summoners or the machina war...
Tidus and Lenne are not from the same Zanarkand. Tidus is from Dream (Fake) Zanarkand while Lenne and Shuyin are from the Real Zanarkand of 1000 years ago.
@WhiteBuddha Tidus is from the real Zanarkand as well, it wasn't just a dream Zanarkand. Because Jecht also travelled from the Real Zanarkand through Sin.

@Midflame222 Well, it's a different kind of 'real'. It was only real because the fayth dreamed it up. The fayth are also responsible for the aeons...so it's their dreaming that what makes the aeons and the residents of Dream Zanarkand physical.
But once they stop dreaming then these manifestations fade away, and they turn to pyreflies. That's why at the end of the game the Aeons and Tidus (along with other Dream Zanarkand residents, the people shown in the bubbles) disappear.

In Tidus' Zanarkand they didn't have summoners.
