  • Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. We also need to stop (right now) wasteful handout programs like medicare, social security, unemployment,, etc. and lower the minimum wage to $2/hr so we can compete with China for jobs. I will work with Boehner, Ryan and my other republican colleagues and take immediate action on these proposals. God bless the GOP!

  • Father Thomas Kelley wants you to give your coat to Caesar because in his mind free will or charity doesnt enter into the teachings of Christ, his interpretation of the Christian faith is "from each according to his means, to each according to his needs.

  • @rororhythm Please get a clue. You know who misplaced that money? Bush did. They literally airlifted money into Iraq, and amazingly enough the Bush team screwed up. Big surprise.

The government has the most saturation ability for social programs, and they don't take profits off the top. Yes they do it best.

Fannie and Freddie is its own problem, but most of what happened leading up to 2008 was allowed through deregulations that were too lax on banks and lenders.

    The postal service does fine.

  • Ryan's pro life agenda ends at birth. Then his Koch funded pro corporate anti society agenda kicks in.

  • Thanks to liberal policies America can no longer afford to pay for medicare, social security, unemployment and many other services. We also need to lower the minimum wage to $2/hr in order to compete with China and bring jobs back home. Fiscally responsible conservatives like Paul Ryan and John Boehner know this and are currently

working to end these wasteful handout programs and bring the minimum wage down so that America can be great again. God bless the GOP

  • @rororhythm why would you even say that? You sound slow.

  • Republicans aren't pro-life. They are pro-birth. After that, it's "Welcome to the ownership society. You're on your own."

  • Amen Father, keep on keepin on, we need more clerical leaders such as yourself!!!

  • So if you try to save a bloated government program that is headed for bankruptcy, you are not pro life??? That is the most convoluted logic I have ever heard in my life!! Paul Ryan is trying to SAVE Medicare. It is people like Father Kelly who insist on the current path to Medicare bankruptcy. If we listen to people like him, none of us will have any health care in our old age.

  • @DannyThePostman Ryan is trying to kill Medicare.

Wake up and smell the hypocrisy. Get your facts straight and stop with the silly talking points.

  • @ThatsMRdouchbag What talking points? Everyone admits that Medicare will not survive on its current path. It is you liberals who refuse to do anything to fix it. Same with Social Security.

  • What a CROCK!! Medicare is BROKE.... What's immoral is the Left's infiltration of the Catholic church--these scum-bags want MORE GOVERNMENT REDISTRIBUTION and DEPENDENCY.... Their anti-Freedom agenda is anti-God, as well.

  • @Halvinator The left? HA HA HA HA, Under that Idiot Bush's 8 years of reign of terror, the Government was expanded Exponentially you dumb piece of turds! HAHAHA! And who can forget that if it hadn't been for those 200 YES Republican votes, The Patriot Act would not have been renewed. The Patriot Act protects our freedom right? HA HA HA HA! And no you idiot, God does not Exist!

  • @Halvinator THe left has infiltrated the Church? Take your meds.

  • CAN Fr Kelly take a stand against Pelosi's pro-abortion stand? Where is the prolife support there??

  • I heard one of the number crunchers say that even if we tax the dickens out of the rich and end the war, we would only be able to solve 20% of the deficit. Clearly those are two simplistic answers that don't solve the problem.

IF the government is not solvent, if it falls into bankruptcy, if businesses feel that they cannot add jobs because of uncertainty in the business climate that will ultimately hurt the poor as well.

  • "Pro-life" is not just defending the unborn - but also protecting the poor, the jobless, the elderly. Access to decent health care without bankruptcy is also a pro-life issue! I have been waiting for quite a while for the Catholic Church to wake up and realize that "pro-life" includes more than defense of the unborn!

    Thank YOU!

  • @EUamerican

It's not the governments job to care for the poor and the elderly, that is the job of the church. It is governments job to protect peoples life and liberty. Abortion is murder and should be illegal.

  • @1776iscoming Honey you think the Church wants to spend their money on the poor and the elderly.

They are too busy paying 10's of millions to sexual abuse victims.

Where idd you get that idea?

  • @ThatsMRdouchbag

I'm not Catholic. This is the way it was for the first 150 years of our existance. You needed a job, food, shelter, you would go see the church. It is a biblical standard for the born again believer in Christ to care for the poor, orphaned, and elderly. The federal gov't has no business in providing welfare.

  • @1776iscoming Even though it's the most effective way.

Yep, better to leave it up to.... who, again? Sorry, asshole, you just want to avoid taxes.

  • @usucdik

I'm going to make a wild guess and say you are one of the 50% of the US population that pays no taxes. If you trust the gov't so much, why don't you be an example and give more of your check to them? You people that worship the federal government and elevate them to some type of god blow my mind.

  • @1776iscoming So basically you're just a moron. Fact is that the government does it best. The people individually would be ineffective, to say the least. That is why many of the programs formed in the first place.

The teabaggers are just anti-tax anarchists that don't give a shit about anything but their own bank account, and they don't realize that everyone's standard of living goes up with social programs. Teabaggers don't even have to be poor, they are just mad their lives hit a dead end.

  • @usucdik

First, man do you know how ignorant you guys sound by calling people "teabaggers", that means that you are the recipient, you are the ones getting teabagged. But maybe that's something you guys enjoy, more power to ya. Like I said, be an example and give more of your income to your god, the federal government. Until then, don't expect people to pay for your welfare and food stamps.

  • @1776iscoming Typical deflections. Poor guy can't handle the "teabagger" moniker that they themselves decided to use. And how would I be involved? Another stupid attempt to reverse roles, but you're just lame and brainless.

All you can is personal insults, like claiming I'm on welfare. All you do is try to debase programs that help families when they are in need. It's shameful that you think it is a bad thing.

  • This is so awesome. Living Christianity rather than talking "values" that have no morals to them.

  • @dmcrane1

This guy is a Catholic, not a Christian, and theft is theft when it's an individual stealing or the government stealing from one to give to another. Helping the poor is the job of the church, not the government.
