Well... if you listen to the music on YT but don't buy the album the band doesn't get as much revenue, and they suffer as much as the publisher. They do need funding to put out music. Some publishers are a little draconian in how they approach these things, but they have a point. You're consuming a product without paying for it. Before you jump on me, I intend to buy this album. It just shits me that people forget cash still needs to flow so that artists can keep doing their thing.

Next, Alterbridge bought themselves out of their recording contract out of their own pockets (mark and miles did I believe) they did this to pursue their own brand of music. AB is light years head of and better than creed. myles is infinitely better in all aspects of being a musician than stapp. mark and myles are a tremendous songwriting team. walking away from money to pursue their own musical interests doesn't make them a sell out. in fact, it makes them as far from being sell outs there is.
