"I want you to lay down the arms you have as being useless for saving you or humanity. You will invite Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini to take what they want of the countries you call your possessions. Let them take possession of your beautiful island with your many beautiful buildings... If these gentlemen choose to occupy your homes, you will vacate them. If they do not give you free passage out, you will allow yourself, man, woman and child to be slaughtered..." -- Gandhi

"I do not want to see the allies defeated. But I do not consider Hitler to be as bad as he is depicted. He is showing an ability that is amazing and seems to be gaining his victories without much bloodshed." -- Mohandas "Mahatma" Gandhi, in letter to Rajkumari Amrit Kaur

All you Brits out there nodding along and feeling all warm and fuzzy about how great a guy Mr. Mohandas Gandhi was would do well to remember, or to visit for the first time, some of Mr. Gandhi thoughts:
"We have no doubt about your bravery or devotion to your fatherland, nor do we believe that you are the monster described by your opponents." -- Mohandas "Mahatma" Gandhi, to his "friend", Adolf Hitler
This is a blatant ripoff of the "Lost Generation" AARP ad. Advertising is all about drawing inspiration from other sources but this is taking it a little far. Especially if they are trying to take credit for their "innovative" approach.
Actually, the "Lost Generation" ad acknowledges it's debt to the same Recrear Argentinian political ad that these guys credit for the idea. Read the Info box.
Then you would have to say that Lost Generation is a blatant rip off "The Truth" which was in fact their source of inspiration, and was so credited in the information panel (which apparently people don't read --- an interesting comment in and of itself given the subject matter)
Loved it, but it's not new. This is a twist on an 19th century form of poetry where the entire text was a "Dear John" letter but by deleting the odd lines and reading the even ones it turned into a love poem. Worked very well in a non-digital format.
I'm an editor and this absolutely rocks! For once, the advertising is really well targeted to the audience by creating an innovative, interesting digital message with a smart, 'literary' twist that will become viral in no time!
This is corny as fuck.

In the info panel DK does acknowledge their source ("The Truth" by an argentinian agency). The charge of plagiarism isn't accurate.
