thats normal here in sanfranisco,i see it move crazy distances day to day,im glad yim not the only one,ever notice that diamond colored one that seems to rotate and you can watch it move across the sky if you hav patienc and like 15 minutes to watch it
I dont know if you know this but you can see Venus in the middle of the day with the sun blazing. Ive personally seen Venus with the naked eye at 2 pm. I also have access to college level telescopes and have been watching this since December of 08. This is the main object in the sky I use in my Astronomy class as a pointer object to help me identify other objects in the sky. Study Astronomy! Do not fall into the trap of Astrology and all this ridiculous talk of Nibiru - Planet X non-sense.

It has a ring or similar structure, a defined reddish halo around it and has what appear to be flickers luminous material ejected at regular intervals. These flickers appear dendritic like a corona discharge. In addition it changes color hue in different portions from blue to red and back . My guess as to what it is is:
1) A comet or comet like object headed on a direct near earth orbit.

no, its venus. the location of venus and the rest of the planets as well as the moon will change from day to day due to their different rotational cycles so dont be surprised when you dont see it in exactly the same place at the same time every night. it is venus, and it is the brightest object in the sky.. venus reaches its maximum brightness shortly before sunrise or shortly after sunset, for which reason it is often called the morning star or the evening star.
It's weird that people are just actually realizing its there now. But you are right, it shouldn't be so bright still. I know it's not Venus because it's in a completely different area of the sky. Thanks for the post.

thank you for the video responses, it looks more clearer in your videos than it does in mine. I've come across some videos of this "object" on youtube where people filmed a UFO coming out of it and moving very oddly and then going back in. So very strange, indeed!
it is venus and is going to be brighter on the 19th febuary , to us in the northern hemisphere it is closer to the horizon , on the 27 venus and the moon will be coming into alignment , there is also a comet lulin coming in close on the 24th of feb also , it going to be a nice light show , nothing to worry about , look on your search for : stargazing suite101 the night sky for febuary 2009 , to find more info on it
It's venus. It will move as the earth moves and it will not be in the same exact location because of our orbit. You will also notice venus id the brightest light in the sky and is visible before sunset in the southern sky.
Thanks, but it is not Venus. I have seen Venus, Mars Jupiter, Mercury, some numerous times over the last 25 years - and I am certainly glad that I have seen them because if I hadn't, then I might be fooled so easily like far too many people.
This thing has been in the sky for at least 5 months. The planets do not stay visible anywhere near that length of time.
This thing moves through the sky very quick, like the moon does and can be seen WELL before sunset and through cloud cover.
I don't think it is the space station. It could be. I don't know. I don't think we can see the space station or Venus through cloud cover. And two nights ago it was just visible through pretty heavy clouds. The thing is I have seen it since at least early Sept. and some folks have seen it even a few months longer.

You can't just pick out a random planet and call it Nibiru. It looks like Mars or possibly Jupiter. Planets normally show up just after sunset.

Hello from Oregon Hawaii and Oklahoma I have confirmed sightings also from Greece and Norway.
