  • This is natural. They aren't fighting at all. I've seen birds fight and they are most definitely not. Very pretty birds. :)

  • It definitely looks like a fight for dominance to me, not playing.

  • Yeah...they are definitely fighting.

  • supercute yellow trousers! anyone who thinks this is fighting clearly has not owned pet parrots before

  • i love caiques! cheack out mine!

  • about how much does it cost a month to keep one of these? ive been thinkin about gettin a Caique but i need to know the monthly cost. and how much were each of them?

if yu could let me know thatd be great thx!

  • @KempoKyushoMuayThai Caiques as babies cost around 1200 dollars. just for them. They do require alot of up keep. Mine total was around 1450 total. That includes the cage and toys but caiques need alot of toys. They also require alot of handling time. Its like they are on crack all the time they are very very time consuming. but they are worth it!

  • Where did you get that awesome hanging bird chandelier lol ?

  • Birds most certainly DO have dominance, in the sense that they're very territorial, and the caique is moreso than most other species of parrot. The birds often spar vigorously with other members of their species, and may well be brawling in this video.

  • @gildarsleeve birds can be territorial but territorial doesnt equal dominance. If they were 'brawling' they would get hurt, and brawling is not something I allow. There is no way I would film parrots fighting just to put on youtube.

  • @gildarsleeve Birds do not have dominance in the same sense that humans, dogs, or cats do. Caiques are territorial, but territory, and dominance have nothing to do with this video. This is simply 2 birds playing. There is no 'brawl'. You must understand that a caiques way of playing is extremely different then other bird species.

  • would you pls let me know Where did you buy the toy/rope perch thing and what does it called? I really want to get it for my caique and conure for Christmas. (^_____^) thank you so much!!

  • they wrestle then they kiss!! very cute video. your caiques are beautiful!!

  • @rita191919 Thank you!

  • thanks for the posting, I had a caique for over seven years they're a handful!

  • its obvious who has dominance. personally i think its time to start evening ths scores, the owner should of stepped in and told the dominant parrot off!

  • Birds don't have dominance.. if you knew next to anything about caiques you'd know this is natural play for them. If anything of the sort had gotten too rough I'd step in. Its PLAY. Hence the title of the video?

  • Wow... that's an awesome bird gym... my birds would love it. Where did you find it?

  • When i saw this video i knew that the caique would be a perfect bird for me!!! So now i have one and her name is Kiwi!! =)

  • Your birds are beautiful.

I'd give anything in the world to have my caique back.

Mine was killed by poisoning from a new Teflon pan. Never buy anything new with Teflon. I am devastated I found out the hard way. :(

  • I'm so sorry to hear this. Any nonstick surface can kill a bird with the fumes emitted when cooking.

  • I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your bird.

  • the one on the left is so evil to the one on the right:( keeps trying to fight him and when he tries to be nice he kicks him back, so sad:( is it my imagination or?? I only have one bird, so i'm not used to fighting and I know if my bird feelings but maybe not those.

  • Hi- they are not being evil, this is how this specific parrot species plays. If you notice she (the plucked one) is being very submissive to the other. You can hear that funny little noise, breathy type- that is her laughing. She wouldn't be talking or laughing or whistling if she was unhappy.

You can hear where I intervened when the male did start getting too rough with her.

  • That is actually how caique parrots play- you can tell from the noise the female is making and her body language that she is very happy.

  • wow:) thanx:) did not know.

  • they are so cute i have 6 and there only a 1000$ each and they live until forty and most playful bird in the world

  • soooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!

  • Terrific

  • I have Houghstly never seen birds of all those colors. Very pretty.

  • Is that Higgins and Rosie? They are so cute!

  • Yup! My babies :)

  • awesome video, adore caiques, they are the best of friends!

  • I would be very interested to know how you made the gym for your caiques. I have two as well, and they would have a blast.

  • Hi- I bought it from thecozyparrot
