  • looking at that, its clearly not going to be as good in game, sadly, but at least this is a start. considering its just a smartphone, i wont be relying on it for heavy mobile gaming, but current games such as pacman, papijump, torect are all addictive yet simple games. it is nice to know what the phone can do, but unrealistic in terms of actual gaming. as a hardcore gamer, i prefer it to run smooth than enjoy lavish graphics.

  • I have a G1 and ran that app. There's no point in showing the graphics capabilities when none of the games play nearly as well as what that CG demonstrates. I'm probably going to get thumbs down for this, but I wish I had waited for an android phone with better tech specs. The G1 will be limited to the Cupcake update :( No Donut for us :( Wish it had more than 100 mb of internal memory. What was HTC thinking?

  • Google has confirmed that though newer android phones are getting to have more memory, that they will continue to provide updates to all android phones. also, recently at a press release it was confirmed that android will support a native apps2sd, so we are not limited with space anymore.

  • 20.1 fps on HTC Magic with sound

25.1 fps on HTC Magic without sound

  • 249 FPS O_o, and that looked like a DS game, so not bad for a cell phone.

Hopefully the G1 gets more game support, just bought one and I'm starting to envy a few iPhone games.

  • 24.95 fps

  • Oops.

  • cool stuff

  • I read a post on android forums saying that when testing neocore the developers found a problem with the gl stack and think the frame rate could be nearly doubled. It's early days and we will see the tegra chipset coming out eventually. I will get a dream for it's potential

  • because the camera is not top grade and this is a video of a video that is why it looks chopping.

  • Why is the G1 in normal mode (i-net browser so laggy, but not in the benchmark? Bad source code, by the android programmer or is the graphic card too slow? The iphone has the same power like the g1, but.. not laggy... WHY?

  • i think this phone having 2 500mhz processors in it should make it able to do this easily

  • There's already google maps integrated. Satellite, traffic, street view maps

  • So this means there is no problem running GoogleEarth on this mobile ;)

    When can we see it?
