  • Cool turntable.

  • This music reminds me of old cartoons, like tom & jerry, i love it =D

  • awesome producing quality considering the age of the tune

  • No point in posting ages. Music is music, you can love it regardless of how old you are. Music is simply timeless.

  • takes me back!

  • Does anyone else hear the song 'The Trouble With Me is You' in the tune?

  • i love big band for some reason, but idk why but its best with a singer

  • i'm 11 and i love this!

  • @AnalogueAbsynth No one cares about your age.

  • @GlenMccafferty yes they do, this music is for old poeple

  • @AnalogueAbsynth No, you are being a fucking retard right there. Music is not for a certain age of people, that is why it is pathetic you are even mentioning your age. You should enjoy the music without feeling the need to make yourself out to be special. I am 15, you don't see me bragging about it to people?

  • @GlenMccafferty TROLOLOLOLOLOL XD

  • @lovinganimals101 Tupac is awesome but so is this and Tupac himself liked jazz so way to go

  • Fabulous song, I properly love this sort of music, and the big band/crooner sound that followed it.

  • Love this sound

  • @lovinganimals101 hey fuck you! learn to broaden your horizon of music.

  • I try to get my gf to dance to this with me were both 18 and she said hell no!!! but i love this

  • this brings back memories , the goodtimes

  • I'm 16 and I love this music. Come to think of it I don't really listen to anything younger than the 1960's. Except, of course, for Mumford and sons.

  • Who the fuck would dislike this?

  • better than most of today's shit music

  • i Just Love The Way My Foot Swings While Listening To These Songs... Great Upload! Thanks A LOT :)))

  • This song rocks!

  • Wow, there's only one dislike? That's the lowest amount of dislikes on a video I've ever seen! But that must be because this song is awesome ^^

  • Very cool comment. Thank you

  • @prizz8273 It is because there aren't any idiots searching for this kind of music

  • To all of you that hate this but listen to Hip Hop, Rock, Metal... You owe it ALL to this music right here...

  • 1 person is a raging homo

  • @Glaskruset hahaha! x) Sounds like something a friend of mine could have said

  • Whisky + jazz = chill

  • Muy bonita ......................... César

  • After being melted by Skrillex, I always pop on some jazz to liven me up again. Jazz for life.

  • im negative 53 years old. i wont be born til 2064. i love jazz!

  • @Nitro487 ...wow pretty impressive shit right there...

  • @BDizDaBest dude i know this shits eerie...

  • im 12 and what is this

  • @asdqwezcset class

  • I'm only 3 and a half years old and this song made me wet my pants!

  • The best version I ever heard was by Bob Crosby

  • I'm 628 and I love this music >.>

  • 628? That's impressive!

  • @ellechick13 this is still too mainstream for me

  • Preciosa ..............César

  • isnt jazz great, and this 30s 40s stuff is a perfect fit for fallout.

i've been listening to allot of cab calloway. but he's pretty much all i know from that erra.

  • hii,,, will you let us use this for our media project??,, we would put your name in the credits???????

  • Trin, I don't mind if you use it. Keep in mind that I don't own the music, so I would check with The Harry Fox agency (you can find them on Google). This may be Public Domain, but I would check just to be safe.

  • 14 and it's amazing.

  • Y'see kids, they listen to the rap music, which gives them the brain damage. With their hippin' and their hoppin' and the bippin' and the boppin', so they don't know what the JAZZ, is all about, y'see?

  • @ek180 lol

you do know that quote went over most peoples heads though.

  • @ek180 i laughed my ass off, my good sir/mam, golly good fucking quote

  • I'm 3 and love it.

  • 15 and love it!

  • I'd also like to remark that the only reason these videos are only watched by 8 year olds is that contemporaries to this age are either dead or unaware that this stuff is on youtube...

  • I think this pretty excellent, anychance you could upload shanghai shuffle by fletcher henderson?

  • I don't have that one, but if I find a copy I'll post it

  • Benny Goodman did this way, way better.

  • Thanks ljliljohn.. I never heard this by Benny before. It's quite good. Thanks for the heads up.

  • @ljliljohn yea so whats your point, just enjoy the music.

  • I have a question, this record has no crackles or pops and it's 70 years-old? Is this a cut master-track? That's the only record type I get cleaner than a master-press

  • @Hollywoodx21x... Good question. This is an extremely clean shellac commercial press. I used a 3.0 mil stylus. If you listen closely there is some background noise. When I posted this, Youtube was heavily compressing the audio on all of the videos that were being posted. That hid some of the noise

  • 17 years old and into my dandyism and 20s, 30s and 40s. One thing I love is music like this... so relaxing.

  • I love this music! I don't listen to radio anymore! today's music just sucks!

  • back when the music was real. im 17 and this is my fave type of music

  • This music makes me think of a black and white, poor quality film of men in nice suits and women is extravagant dresses. Ah this music is great.

  • Im 14 and this is good music

  • man i love this music

  • Thank you for uploading this. =)

  • Im 18 and this music is possibly the best ever made. By looking at the comments, it seems as if jazz, swing, and big band could make revival. Oh that would be so awesome...

  • @ACKR0NYM That would be a wonderful time.

  • I totally love how this is both Jazz and Sing. Great stuff, my friend will love this. :D

  • They should play this on the radio, not eminem and lil wayne

  • I love old jazz and I love The BeatIes.

  • nice x

  • I'm 16 and I love this type of music as well! I really believe I was born in the wrong era.

  • Abslolutely amazing. Great 30's era will live 4 ever!

  • hell ya! great sutff

  • Kids, they listen to the rap music, which gives them the brain damage. So they don't know what the JAZZ is all about, y'see?!

  • its got my toe a tappin, not like that silly rappin.

  • excelent music :)

  • Damn,that can be called MUSIC :D

  • I'm in a jazz band at my High School and this is some of the best swing I've heard in a long time. Love it!

  • A time when men were men, held doors open for ladies, and everyone ended the day with a drink and jazz record. Dancing was perfectly acceptable for men, and who can resist when this classy bit pops on, eh?

Why fondle the past when the future is so eager to be written? Bring back jazz my friends!

  • hmmm. this is great. i love buying random jazz records. they never disappoint. ever.

  • I love this kind of music!

  • I love this music!! I listen to it since i have played Fallout3 the fist time^^

    sry for my english :P

  • i call it failout! the first and second fallouts were great but the 3 is just fail.

  • Oh shit! i love this piece, and i love 10's to 80's

2000's sucks no? We live in poor epoch, why not to come back in a life as in the sixties 's ? fuck**g shit

  • I like best the sound from the trumpets and other horn instrument.

Sorry, my english is bad. I'm from Asia :)

  • @DonSaliari don't give 'em the bad impression . not all asians have bad english (:

  • had this kind of music in the radio few days ago and my sister said she hate it and its depressing, she'd rather listen to death metal. well i also like death metal, but i'd much rather listen to this, this always makes me happy.

  • This piece of music has inspired me. We're gonna have a speakeasy in our dorm room now :p

  • I am a 19 year old girl, and I loved jazz since I was little, but everyone seems to make fun of this amazing type of music! Everyone is just into what is new and lame rap.

  • Well, as you can see here, there are 63 comments and no one's making fun of anyone for liking 30 jazz music :D

  • I am not saying on here. I am saying friends and people I know.

  • @MissNadal22

    unfortunately true :(

  • @MissNadal22 fuck rap. this pretty much is the grandfather of rap.

  • @MissNadal22 yep , true. people laugh when i say i like jazz.

  • @MissNadal22 im 17, and im in the same boat lol....

  • @MissNadal22

Rap was created form this! jazz transformed to reggae, and reggae to rap, but it all happened in about fourty years! and i am not talking about what the redio plays in these days, it is just awful. Old schol hip hop for ever! :)

  • @MissNadal22 don t pay them atention and enjoy the music, they dion t know about what is good music

  • @MissNadal22 I'm 15 years old and I love 1920s/30s jazz

  • @KrazyKartoonKid

    I'm 17 and I play jazz.

  • @MissNadal22 same with me, im 16 and its incredible how no one likes jazz but instead they like justin bieber and kesha,

  • @MissNadal22 Be yourself

  • good attitude for your age. if we can the most of todays pructions music at all...

  • @ganjapreacher

    I'm just like him..

There should be more people like us, but there's all that electronic shit.. and ugly ass pop..

  • Im just 13, and I relaise this music is far asthetically beautiful than modern "music". Ty for posting!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice! Check out my posts as well. A neighbor threw out thousands of old vintage records, which I saved from extinction!

  • Harry Roy also went under the name of Harry Roy and his Tiger Ragamuffins

  • I started collecting swing in the early 1970s when you could get this stuff at auctions for about a penny a copy. Now, there are thousands of these records in online auctions for not to high a price and no ones buying alot of it. Only the rare, odd stuff sells. That means for not much of an investment we can all have a nice collection of these records, or you can just keep listening to youtube and eventually all the old stuff will be on here. I hope.

  • this music reminds me of mafia and the godfather games.

    awesome music

  • me lost 10 pounds already...i can feel myself becoming a better gentlemen every second of it. YEAH BABY

  • Relaxing you say?? I can stop fucking moving around the room

  • LOL I agree with that

  • amazing!

  • I think this kind of music, brings back a simpler time in life. Making people realize how shitty the world is now.

  • Yeah man. I feel the exact same way :(.

  • This music makes me realize how crappy is the "modern" music with all those pop hip-hop and rockstars that have absolutely no talent, geeze they don't even have the decency to play their own instruments... anyway this is great music, so relaxing.

  • im 13 and i realy like jazz. i think its hard to find propper jazz on youtube, because there aint many who is listening to it.

  • This music kicks the CRAP out of the industrialised, studio manufactured RUBBISH they churn out today!

  • This music was made with innocence. For the music's sake . To be listened to and enjoyed, not to be a rock star.

  • Sweetness... finally a good ol' appreciation of music... ya know? Finally we are not arguing over this "music sucks" and all that youtube comment crap.

  • relaxing and just plain good music :D

  • lol I think its helarious everyone is coming out ot the 'age closet.'

Im 17 and I love jazz and swing music! Frank Sinatra makes my heart melt.

This is a a great record! Nice piano!

  • Same here... Im 18 and people doesnt understand How can I like this kinda music. I dont know, its relaxing.

  • Its got something called a beat and something called a rythm, both which are often drowned out in modern music.

  • I think it something to do with being trendy or whatever, I openly admit my taste for old cartoons, old music, and old cars while seemingly endlessly whining about flat modern cartoons and how new cars have small windows.

  • I'm like you too jeje I'm 15 and I love this style of music... and the ages too.

Every time I listen to a song like this I feel like if I had been in one of those parties with jazz live music, like if I had lived on those times"!!

  • @lizzytheperson i'm also 17 and i LOOOOVE this stuff

  • this is so good i love it =) it makes me smile

  • Dang.. I wanna go back in time :)

  • I love ALL you people

  • Hey with all us young ppls listening to jazz and what not e might bring around a revival o.o

  • Most likely! And hopefully people start recording on vinyl again. The sound is far superior to any digital recording.

  • I have to agree. With a record you're listening to an actual sound wave. With digital you're listening to a binary code interpritation of sound and it doesn't catch everything. It's only a slight difference that's felt more than heard. This record, for example, sounds even better live. The video just doesn't fully capture the feel of the song

  • True as your digital vs analogue comment may be, it's actually nonsense. Digital is a far superior, and far more accurate capturing of a sound. All analogue did was colour sound which, while not unpleasant, was essentially just another step away from the original performance.

  • It depends on what you're basing superiority on. Under perfect circumstances, analog captures the entire audible spectrum. It's a recreation of a sound wave. Digital is binary code and can't (currently) grab the entire audible spectrum. The reason I am saying currently is that I think they will eventually develop digital to the point that the "bits" that make up the sound wave are so small that digital will truly be superior.

The problem with analog recording and storage is white noise.

  • @PJDooWop So it's those worrying gaps between digital bits that make digital worse? ...only joking, but as a electronics and sound engineer, digital more than overcomes the so called "problem". Analogue has just as many problems, but the basic rule is if it sounds good the medium does not matter a jot. If the medium is dominating the performance some thing is very wrong indeed.

  • You make a very good point. A good digital engineer is worth his/her weight in gold. Digital is far superior to analog in a few ways, especially when it comes to storage and what it makes possible in a recording studio. There are things I can do now in a studio in a period of minutes that used to take me an hour or more on tape.

  • @swallin19 but in my opinion vinyl just sounds better than cd....

dunno...sounds warmer and more natural and CDs don't...

  • Of course a pure digital recording has a much clearer sound.

But when the original recording is analogue, digitizing it doesn't

exactly enhance it. Actually it deteriorates.

  • @Malc180s no way... with digital, you dont get those little sounds, like those clicks and pops, its something that you need when listening to an old time record

  • Im 14 and i started loving this just a year earlier! =D

  • oh thank god another young person..im not the only one. ^-^

  • The comments on this site by younger people is a testamony to the benefit YouTube provides in the musical education of those unfamiliar with big band jazz and swing.

I post many on my own channel.

  • This music is sooooo good, mainly because its a testament to the great time known as prohibition!

  • Music was so original way back then...

    :]

  • Ha i wish i was born in the 20's

  • we all do

  • im also 15, i just found out about this music, i love it

  • check out a song called That's a Plenty.

I'm 40, and they used to play this stuff at night on the radio. My parents told me about when Glenn Miller went missing in world war II, all the kids on the dance floor started crying...

  • 21 and love it!

  • I saw everyone putting their age.. lol

I'm 15. I love big band swing jazz.. but my absolute favorite is dixieland!

  • if you like dixieland, you MUST check out Sydney Bechet...see creole blues or Summertime...

another great song in general is "That's a plenty"

  • 24 and I think I totally missed out on this era of music :(

  • You didn't miss out. It's great that you're finding this stuff. There's a lot more out there

  • I'M 44 and love this music .I'm Mexican.

  • 19 years old and 20's, 30's > all ;) generally I am intersted in Mafia in USA in thats periode xD

  • Why is everyone saying how old there and they love this? This is my favorite type of music but i dont have say my age 2 totally prove it.

  • Someone started it and everyone followed suit. I'm not sure how it started but I think it's cool to see how many young people are diggin this kinda sound.

  • im 32 this year !! AHHHH

  • I'm 32 and still on youtube.

  • I'm 16 and i couldn't agree more! In The Mood, and Sing Sing Sing all the way.

well, I love these kinda songs..

    just soooooooooooo good :*(((

I really want to download these songs and put em into my ipod,, anyone know where I can download these music?

  • leave your e-mail address n i will send u a program that can download from youtube(music or video)

  • You can use a site called Ripzor to download the video file, and then download a program that will convert the .FLV to a .MP3. Alternatively, you can record directly from the video to an mp3 file with a program such as Audacity, which is labour intensive but simple to do.

  • i am 17)))

  • I am very much enjoying this :)

    I am 22 :)

  • You're a couple of years younger than I am. Glad to see more people in their 20s getting into good music
