I have a rare genetic disorder and have heard this poem several times. I am amazed at how well this man is able to read this poem! The emotion and the words are so profound! God bless you all!
Words are by Emily Perl Kingsley. She's a writer for Sesame Street. Her son Jason was born in 1974 with Down Syndrome. This is hands down, one of my favorite poems. This was beautifully read. Well done.
My two little boys, 4 and 2, are autistic. This brought tears to my eyes. I rarely think of Italy because Holland is all I know. Among many other ways, we are lucky in that regard.
i love love love this beautiful poem, my daughter has Cerebral Palsy. I know when friends and family say 'i understand waht your going through' they mean well but they really dont unless they are there themselves. This is a really good way for them to get an insight of it all. xxxx
Love it! My son has DS and this is the first thing I read at the hospital about DS and I have always loved it and even 8 years later it still gives me goosebumps! Beautifully done!
Thank God someone was able to put into words what so many parents are feeling. Bravo to the author and the reader in this video. Thank you for both sharing your talents.
I'm currently studying this poem, and din't expect to find a video of it on YouTube. Just by reading it, you don't sense the emotion that went into to it, but this video has knocked it on its head.
This is one of my favorite stories. I love it even more now, after listening to it read by Guy Hayton. Wow. My daughter with downs is now 25 years old and I can say, I love Holland!
