this cannon could be improved if you had a chamber that holds the can in airtight so as to absorb more energy before it launches. My cannon fits a tennis ball so snugly and easily gets the ball over 100 metres. Don't forget tennis balls aren't very aerodynamic and provide a fair amount of resistance. When you put a potato in, cut to the exact size of the muzzle, it has some real serious bite. Just something to consider.
