I wouldn't say those are expert only trails. But that does look like the aftermath of a Sierra powder day, They call it the Sierra Cement for a reason.
The snow comes in layers... This must be the last bit of the storm only a 2 foot layer... If there wasn't 8feet under it.. you wood see a lot more rocks. Check the weather... we just had another storm like this last week...
I was in K-Wood in '98 and it snowed about 44 feet in the season. Ten feet in five days wouldnt surprise me at all. Three foot dumps were pretty standard.
Maybe 10 feet in 5 days but it looks like about 6" of new at most to me. It's definitely not snowbird ( and I tend to agree with hamsandwich2006's gapers comment, LOL )
10ft is 12inches times 10 queer. That is not 10ft

Best overall ski resort in Tahoe area when one considers snow, runs, price, trees, and lack of people.

that doesn't even make sense. every sport has it's own gapers, and snowboarding is actually pretty hard to learn.

Oragraphic lift is what brings the heavy snow to the Sierra Nevada. Air rises up the mountains and then forms snow laden clouds and BAM!
