I listen to all forms of metal, my current favorite being stoner metal like Sleep, Baroness, Black Tusk, etc. but Slipknot will always have a special place in my heart. Their music doesn't seem to be of a lesser "quality" than other band's music, it's up to taste.

I know they sound all fast and technical and crazy but I can assure you it's mostly smoke and mirrors. So many things can be done to both live and recorded music in the way of producing. Ever heard of drum triggers? Slipknot sure has.

Metal is a great style of music and one of my favourites. If you really like metal check out Meshuggah. Mind = Blown.

@ericsimon16 I totally understand where you're coming from, but Slipknot are actually brilliant musicians. Maybe not the absolute best in their fields, but they are far above average. It's a fact that Mick and Jim, for example, are absolutely amazing guitarists, without needing the help of studio trickery.

Also, nearly every modern band uses drum triggers. And Meshuggah even used a drum machine on one of their albums. Doesn't mean Tomas Haake can't play it live. Same with Joey.
