  • nobody ever heard of a rotary engine?

  • @walperstyle Like Mazda

  • @HammerFist1970 or the original Wankel

  • Car Supercharger design anyone?

  • that is cool and all but why would i ever use one?

  • что это такое я не понял

  • made in china

  • Why has no one mentioned that the thumbnail looks like a monkey?

  • I can only speculate that the advantage of these design is due to a imperative distance between the axes. If the gears were circular at the same distance, the period would be shorter.

    But that's just a guess.

  • @ivankio A circular gear flowmeter moves the fluid by the space between the teeth around the perimeter of the device, which has relatively low volume, so it allows the passing of small quantities of fluid in each rotation. On the other hand in this design the fluid is moved through a larger space so it posses a lower breaking in the fluid flow.

  • senseless shit

  • shit music

  • I am sorry, but what is the point of those gears being non-circular?

  • hhhhhaaaaaaaa channnngwannng dong danggg ding dong ......ding wahnnnn channgggg

  • I love it when i get on the cool sciency part of youtube (:

  • China have 4 thousand history. :-)

  • 6 thousand mate.....:-)

  • i had to mute video..

  • What's the name of the song????It's awsome....

  • 0:07 Looks like an Evil Monkey

  • Try it at high RPM...it is a very inefficient system. Gears were originally circle for a reason. And that reason is mathematics and physics...

  • That's very cool, It creates a much more compact design than conventional gears.

It looks like it would be accurate over a wider range too.

  • don't understand why there all Chinese videos... Western scientists come up with all the fun crap Asians play with

  • How do you make that effects?

  • This is a Wankelmotor

  • why?

  • yep...i'm at that weird part of youtube aain

  • Fun; any practical benefits?

  • these are cool, what's the advantage of non circular gears?

  • @mememealsome If you need gears that handle force in alternation, for example itll speed up then slow down, the speed up etc,

  • @mememealsome U can use the flow of a liquid/gas to move the gears making an output maybe to a generator like turbine but different

  • @mememealsome There are none, they are very inefficient. Gears are circular because everything spins in a circle, if it isn't a circle, there is drag, which creates friction. At high RPM, it wouldn't even work.

  • @mememealsome I believe there are some engines for cars that use combustion chambers with these gears. Not sure though, I don't know anything about this stuff.

  • @NorthCornerGamer its calles the Wankel motor.. i think the Mazda MX5 is one of the last production cars running with it..

  • @Emu1gmx Yeah that's what I mean! I only thought these were like the devices of the future.

  • @Emu1gmx Don't they still produce them in rx8's?

  • @Emu1gmx ->> only RX Mazda's have the rotary engine. RX-7, RX-8... etc.

  • @mememealsome the car engine with the really cool concept is called the Wankel Motor... next step is the "Huettlin "Kugelmotor"" loosly translated to Ball Engine.. awesome device!

  • @mememealsome It's a method for torque balancing of planar linkages ;) Constantly changing the gear ratio ;)

  • @mememealsome they look bad ass duh! haha

  • @mememealsome circles are gay

  • @mememealsome It's about gear ratio. If you have two oval gears, and you turn one of them with constant speed, the other gear will go slower half the turn, and faster the other half. This is good in some applications, as for exemple in these flowmeters shown in this video =).

  • @mememealsome strength and more teeth engaged at one time decreases wear and strain on the gears

  • @mememealsome If the gears were circular the flow meter wouldn't allow water to pass through. The gears have to be non-circular in order to create the little pockets that the water moves through.

  • Comment removed

  • @mememealsome The advantages are that you will learn more if you know all the potential possibilities around you that if you live in just tight the day to day.

  • @mememealsome These are more or less what mechanical fuel/air/oil pumps look like on the inside :/

  • такой по-ходу хуй отмотаешь :/

  • This music makes me want to hop in the sack with a Chinese gal.

  • @DroverChicago or a Chinese MAN.

  • @DroverChicago what music? The video is muted for me at the start. Unmuting it doesn't give sound

  • @TheSuckerOfTheWorld unmute it, mute it and then unmute it again, then you should here the nice east asian music.

  • @Isenmouthe huhu? now it's there... stranqe

  • not bad mate there could be a future including this :)

  • FINALLY a video with good music. What is it? 12 Girls Band?

  • could it measure a fart? just wonderin.

  • Well now thats kinda neat, better than the music.

  • Rotary engine?

  • this is all nice but how does this invention help anyone ?

  • @777Razzer

Measuring flow accurately is kind of tricky; how would you do it?

  • omg 0:18 is a fkin... oh come on man I heard asian people are more racist towards black folks but... must be ma crazy mind...

  • Why can't the gears be circular for this application?

  • @thekkl easyer to see movement when they are not circular maybe?

  • who else was thinking of kung fu panda the whole time

  • Chinese music makes things look ancient.

  • what is this music from?? :)

  • i did not expect your music with this video

  • OMG who else had those little toy/scrape things I don't even know what they're called, they have those little gear things and you stick a pen inside and you swivel it around and it makes those crazy designs!! I had one when I was like 5 I had those little papers all over my room covering the walls and stuff lol

  • @xXxDANMANxXx Spirograph?

  • @gr8dvd YEAA!!!! Haha those things are sweet :D

  • @xXxDANMANxXx Spirograph.

  • Cooool! Yessss

  • song is dumb

  • is it normal that i assume i`m getting rick rolled just why the 1st second of the music O.o

  • The theory is any two identically geared objects will not be "grinded". Think about it. If you draw a random shape and the same identical shape (both having gears) they will be able to seamlessly rotate without interruption.

  • @Dominoes282 I will destroy your theory with a single word... squares. Unless of course you made the teeth of the square have different diameter from the middle of the side up to the corner and angled them in a... strange way, but then I wouldn't really call it a square gear... it would just have a square 'inner body', the teeth are what makes a gear, a gear.

  • @Razgrits Look up square gears they work

  • This is good stuff to post. Familiarity breeds///

  • what is the song?

  • so what is wrong with circular gears ?? or this is a waste af time and money.

  • @C210288A they wont spin when a current moves across them, theyll just stay still LOL.

also whats with the fucked up music

  • but will it blend? that is the question.

  • there is a panda in the the video, DID YOU SEE IT? HEAR IS A HINT :05-:07

  • so... it's like a roots supercharger?

  • the only toy u had growing up was a spirograph ,,,, expand ,, get a GI joe or something

  • @Lamboragon

    >mfw this guy tries to act clever by posting comments in a manner that somebody with technical experience would have more chance of understanding.

    >sit down child.

  • @UKRelentlessGaming

This isn't 4chan. Get your fucking angle brackets out of here and talk like a normal person on the internet. Also, saying "mfw" without being able to show a picture is kind of fucking irrelevant.

  • @Lamboragon

    >Not an engineer

    >Managed to come up with something more amazing than your own birth itself.

    >STFU.

    >Good-day.

  • @themrmrspike222 i'm sorry, you are right about that, it just pisses me off when someone calls something useless just so, not even understanding its propose or something. but sorry, it's stupid to attack someone because of such things...

  • @themrmrspike222 not useless you idiot, its used for liquid flow mesurement, which (i presume) is also used in your household... (unless you dont have water in your house, of course)

  • nice work

  • Cool! I've been looking for something like this. Is there a way I could buy a small flow meter from you? I'm not really looking for wholesale (yet) just one or two tiny flow meters (the smallest that can measure ~6 L/min) for a prototype.

  • @felineboy

    My E-mail: www8625plus2com@gmail.com

  • what is the point behind it?

when you try to change a ratio it couldnt work when i think about it

the shapes would never match then

  • this video made me thirsty

  • hello ca you please provide me the song's and artists name? Thank you in advance!

  • looks good, can i use it for a penis pump?

  • What is the name of the song please?

  • @ahgose2005 茉莉花

  • why does it need to be non circular? couldnt it measure the flow with round ones?

  • reminds me of the rotary engine

  • What exactly does it do?

  • @TheNotoriousKRP It measures the flow of any fluid. This includes air.

  • wats the name of the song?

  • the peanut pump

  • this was on my old pure moods cd, whats it called again?

  • enema regulator

  • @sethmusic~ HAHA!

  • How do you think people measure how much fluid gets pumped through the trans and its cooler........

  • @2shroom Pull the outlet line at the case and drain it into a mason jar for about a minute?

  • those look a lot like the gear style oil pumps in diesel engines

  • thats so essed up

  • Interesting exercise, but you might have noticed that clocks have circular gears because these are more efficient - and the frictional variables are less.

  • Cool! How much friction do they make and do they leak anything?

  • cool, great: They are a must have :-D

  • @www8625plus2com - What did you use for the meter portion of your design - a hall effect sensor ?

  • whats the advantage of the shape?

  • its just a lobe pump with teeth on the lobes man.

  • that is freaking awesome

  • AHAHAHAHA MADE IN CHINA MUSIC THAT MADE MY DAY :P

  • Bel compressore; dovrebbe avere anche un alto rendimento.

  • Looks similar to the internals of a twin screw supercharger

  • Then I ask: How the hell did you make them?

  • can i use a flowmeter as a pump?? cus its looks pretty easy to mod it into a pump and i kinda need a cheap alternative to a brand made pc water cooling pump... wait for reply!

  • bran -> exploded.

  • would these work as pumps if a motor was attatched to them?

  • would that work in a heatpump too?

  • Wow, that would look cool on my CPU water block... hmmmm....

  • cool ,but us simpletons call them oil pumps.......

  • kinda looks like the inside of a rotory engine good job guys keep it up!!

  • I wanna know what the name of this song is. Is this something random that you just put up, or is there an actual place to get this song?

  • @scottycanes The song is called Jasmine, performed by the Twelve Girls Band on their album Mei Li Yin Yue Hui.

  • nice work, can i get that software someware??

  • GAY MUSIC

  • what did you use to design these and verify them ?

  • @sifterbox

We wrote the code by ourselves for the design and simulation.

  • dude i want one of these to put on a bong holy shit

  • @Jake219921

    Steampunk bong?

  • @Jake219921 wow i look back at this video and i see all the likes to my comment and i just laugh

  • @Jake219921 Best idea!

  • @Pip2andahalf lol i thought so too

  • I guess this is easy to make a gear pump that seals well

  • awesome enema machine of doom bro.

  • These are not pumps, flowmeter like is says on top. precise measurement of fluid flow is important for like blending 2 liquids together or just to know how much and how fast a fluid flows

  • maybe centrifugal force is an advantage.

  • The only good advantage I can think of is for visual effects. Not really much else about them that can't be said for a circular gear...

  • thumbs up for da music!

  • what applications? A LOT! Just in the automotive industry alone, how do you think parts manufacturers test your fuel injectors' flow rate? how do you think engineers get the specific fuel line hose diameter for you car? almost everything under the hood of your car went through one of these flow meters. in medicine, this is how they determine which catheter to use on you. age::catheter size.

  • Circular gears aren't pushed by a liquid or air flow.

  • Beautifull Music, and A good Tecknologi. Offcourse There are Thoes who can not see what one could use this for. But Its always like that. Seople have not imagination until one Put something in front of their eyes, and then they Go UH.... Aha..... Now i can see it.... Anyway...Nice work, and thank you for the Video :-)

  • Its a douche-O-meter.

  • Oh My, these pentaton musical scale kill any ocidental... But I love the gears.

  • in what application would I use this in?

  • congrats, you officially accomplished nothing.

  • they look cool thats the advantage

  • Awesome!

  • I wonder if this could be used like engine super-chargers....

  • It's not about "gears" but a flowmeter, like those measuring water usage at your house - each turn corresponds to some fixed volume going through. Apparently these have a lot less friction and are simpler than existing designs.

  • they're so small

  • and ... what's the point? these gears have an advantage over normal gears?

  • @mexkato

try to use your gray matter. flowmeter?

  • this is just for fun and confuzion!

    hehehe.......

  • who wouldn´t like to have an unconstant gear...

  • whats wif the music?

  • The main difference i see in the function of these gears as opposed to circular ones, is that the speed at which they spin wouldn't remain constant. this is because the radius of the gears is not constant over the whole circumference of the gear. I have no idea if there is an advantage in this but its a cool principle.

  • damn... i wish i could be in engineering.

  • useless

  • @FilippoGatti1991 yeah i just dont get it.

  • i guess the production of these gears demand less metal

  • nice hokkien song

  • the water meters at your homes have these types of gears.

  • @XGCKrazyK actually mine doesnt.but nice try trying to sound smart.

  • @XGCKrazyK: utility companies use flowmeters too, but they are a little different. Look for "nutating disk flowmeter".

  • Worth it for the music alone!

  • probably less pressure but more flow

  • If you are with RC Nitro cars or helis you will see this inside the manual nitro gas pumps. it actually pums nitro from the fuel container right through your helis tank or your RC gas tank....=)

  • very cool idea, but whats the use?

  • the use is to measure of fluids, the form of the gears permits to be pushed by fluids

  • q desgraça é essa pqp....

    tira esse video CREDOOOOOO
