Cool vid, but I think those were blasters on the the Gallente cruiser, not railguns. I use railguns with my Rokh and they look more like lasers rather than those single fire bursts in the update.

3 EVE? There is only one EVE. There have been multiple free expansion packs (the only cost to play is the monthly fee- and even then if you're good economically in-game you can legally buy timecards off others using your in-game ISK and never truly pay a dollar yourself for the game).

theres only 1 EvE... but there have been 3 (if not more) major update packages which is all free ofcourse. And all players must get them to be able to continue playing. Everybody there for are in the same surroundings with all the same modules and ships. Unlike WoW for example :)

Just so you know, every player in EVE Online is essentially a captain of a ship. These are not fighters and not flown using a flight stick or any direct control as such. You essentially give orders and your ship follows them. Ships range from Frigates to 'Capital Ships', and it takes actual time (literally! don't misread this) for your character to learn the skills to fly larger and more powerful ships. It's not a game for everyone, but if you like it, you'll never truly leave it.

if you dont know anything about eve, lets say its more like it takes a lot more time till you hit 80, and when you really would have "leveld" one part to the max yopu can do all the others too, imagine you do a lvl 80 nightelf druid and then add a lvl 80 orc fighter over time. and combine like all possibilities at once to get a good tactic that suits you.

also it doesnt mean if you're "80" then youre better then a 30 because 3 of em can kill you.

The Caldari Tech 3 ships don't look all that different from the Tech 1 and Tech 2 Caldari ships, I was more entertained by its shield booster. That Gallente Tech 3 ship is possibly the most beautiful/aggresive spaceship I've ever seen. I bet the Amarr Tech 3 will look like like golden Gallente Tech 3, and as for the Minmatar, I predict they will have upgraded those sails/solar panels (Or whatever they are, Tempest in particular) to look much better. :)

been wanting to see some of the new effects shot's since i read about it the other day on a forum. Weapon effects always put me off eve to be honest. I know it's stupid, but the game, space and ships always looked so smart.. then when they acturally firect at each other the effects were soo second rate. Just half arsed really.. but i understand they do it to reduce lag etc. Still with these new effects i want to become alot more interested in eve.
