Honda was also developing the version with automatic, sequencial and normal gears all in one (Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission) so it would fit all kind of drive, in all situations.
apprillia has a true scooter motorbike hybrid, called apprillia mana GT 800 cc robotic clutch, auto mode and gear lever for semi auto mode, awesome bike thing. check it out.

I had a Mana 850. It was really nice for touring and around town. You can press a button and make it switch between different riding styles like touring, sports and rain mode, and you can even put it into sports gear mode and turn off the automatic computer and manually change gear either via a normal foot change or by tiptronic style buttons on the handlebar - But if you forgot to change it'll change anyway. Weird! Nice bike but it gets a bit boring if you use it every day and like playing
ive driven the mana 850, and it is a good bike, and the cvt works well with the bike, as you said it is great for town riding, as no need to hold in the clutch at red lights

It's incredibly easy to ride a bike with gears, and a lot more fun.
It's the same with cars. I'm on my learners on both car and bike, and auto cars are so much worse than manual cars.

You can press a button and make it switch between different riding styles like touring, sports and rain mode, and you can even put it into sports gear mode and turn off the automatic computer and manually change gear either via a normal foot change or by tiptronic style buttons on the handlebar - But if you forgot to change it'll change anyway. Weird! Nice bike but it gets a bit boring if you use it every day and like playing

ive driven the mana 850, and it is a good bike, and the cvt works well with the bike, as you said it is great for town riding, as no need to hold in the clutch at red lights

Buying an automatic motorcycle is like when old people buy an automatic sports car and drive it slowly, makes no sense. The Ducati was sweet though.
