  • His mother from asia didn't define him as savant. The professionals from US did. So if he is not a savant, then the professionals must be idiot then.

  • it looks like a mentally handicapped person trying very hard to make a drawing

  • i think im a savant too

  • Poor kid! With that horrible classic music and mom singing this kid must be like, "Mom! WTF, I wanna go play with the kids outside - F this shit... i'm out!"

  • hahahhahahahha i could do this on mescaline and lsd and drunk and sleep deprived for 2 weeks

  • I'm an artist savant and that is not the kind of standard savants do.

  • asian mom wanting his son to be a savant, shouldn't like savants have exceptional abilties i mean i painted like that when i was 8

  • That hardly looks like anything.

  • i made that when i was 2... dose this mean im a savant?

  • thericeking! U r racist! shameful!

  • why don't you people try to go to his website before you make the nasty comments? he really is a savant. check his website on the side!

  • @pokeruler100 I did. He's Nothing Special

  • @pokeruler100 You are a tool, that website has trojans on it, besides, you shouldn't have to go to his site to know that. That's why they make videos on YouTube, nice try but the kid is no savant. I'm sure his parents are proud but there is a difference between honesty and lying.

  • hard to tell if he is a savant when it comes to art ;)

  • did these asians send him to savant tuition classes?

  • they might of done...

  • don't be racist ! tsk tsk shame on u!

  • -6'ed for being a tard.

  • I not an expert on autism or the so called savant syndrome, but here's just my 2 cents: he's autistic - yes, talented - undoubtedly so, but savant probably not.

i would say he's still miles from becoming another Stephen Wiltshire (do a youtube search on him if you you wanna know what a savant really is).

with due respect, IMO you are misusing the term 'savant' here - it's for people with extraordinary abilities. ping lian yeak has yet to demonstrate that.

  • Actually, savants are usually put into 3 categories, splinter, talented, or prodigious, with splinter meaning there is some evidence of talent. He's definitely not prodigious - which is what Wiltshire is, but he's still called a savant.

  • isnt this 'savant syndrome' what the rain man and the guy who broke into america had?

  • @iamthestig1 - Kim Peek wasn't actually autistic anyway (mis-diagnosed for many years) but could recall 98% of everything he read. The scottish computer hacker has characteristically obsessive,' narrow interest' autism. Spontaneity and creativity are not characteristics of savants or of autism in general. Not all autistic people have 'gifts' , most have obsessions, highly retentive memories and some difficulty with social interaction.

  • @prescient8 ok.....so what condition did he have, then?

  • you will know why he is called a savant if you go to his website. his pictures are amazing.

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH yea what a genius LMFAO

  • pushed to be a savant

  • he's Autistic but maybe not savant, good looking though :)

  • He's not a savant he isnt that good at painting ur just wishing he was a savant

  • nice painting

  • seems like a nice, good kid and very creative but I don't get why he's called a savant. Savants have extraordinary abilities. Anyone can make a painting that looks like that.

  • Agreed. Whats with all these asian cultures anyway, all these parents who wanna push for a child prodigy seem to be from asia. Malaysian, Korean etc. :D it is a little twisted that they fantasize of their child being a savant.

  • Never the less, there is some pretty work he has done, no doubt there is significant artistic ability.

  • @nady22 He's a savant to his parents because they dont know the definitions. I highly doubt that Stan Lee videotaped this.

  • @nady22 Seriously look at the website...He's amazing.

  • very talented, and very good looking too :)

  • I hope one of his autistic strengths is cleaning up...

  • The composition of his paintings is very pleasing.

  • Well it is nice though but many autistics and nonautistics can paint very well and I don't see a savant in him, but of course I could be wrong...

  • all I see is a kid playing with wet paint.

  • very nice painting!
