In the beginning of Half-Life 2: Episode 1 it shows G-man being cornered by creatures and still holding his ground. My guess is that he kicks ass when he needs to.
I believe that the Gman is a greater being like the Nahilanth or the Advisors, who has his own agenda. Will probably turn out to be that the Combine were holding off another alien force, and now will be unable to stop it. I bet things will be a lot more clear in EP3.

For instance Combine couldn't figure out a way to Teleport ( and get this , they are an Advanced Alien Species ) within the same universe, I mean yes they can tunnel to other universes but they don't have the technology to teleport between places like Doctor Kliener did with Gordon, Thats why they want that Ship in the EP3 actually )

I'm pretty sure that suit in the locker isn't blue, but just a plastic cover for a suit, of which the color is blue, and not the actual contents. The part about G-Man taking interest in Alyx is incidental, as he's much more interested in Gordon, himself, anyway, so I don't think that has much meaning there.

Alyx hadn't even been thought of yet. It's a small thing one of the developers put in because his family had had a baby. And Gordon's locker is the only one you open. The locker names are also all Valve team member names, minus Gordon's.
The fact that Gordon Freeman and Gman line up if you remove letters is a coincidence. The same thing resulted in the joke at the end of Portal 2, if you remove letters the name becomes Potato. So they made it a joke.

I believe I have said this on this very video before, but that "blue suit" is a suit BAG. It's a bag that's hung up, and the suit is placed inside to protect it from dust.
Alyx was never intended to be Gordon's daughter. She wasn't even Eli's daughter at first. Eli Vance was supposed to be a military man you fought beside. It was later decided to make him a former Black Mesa scientist, and they made Alyx his daughter.

The G-Man already wears his suit, when you see him in another tram on your way to the level 3 facilities.
The Picture is an Easteregg and shows the daughter of Harry E. Teasley (Dunno who's that), placed by Marc Laidlaw, the Game Designer.
Now the speculations:
G-Man COULD be Gordon. The Physical appereance fits. Maybe him in 30 years or so.
