  • @fordmustang1234 hi, i only did what the owner wanted

  • what did this cost the customer in total if you don't mind me asking?

  • wow, nice work!

  • My neighbor has a 317, 318, and 420. Those tractors are built like TANKS!

  • hi my name is keven, i have a craftsman lt 1000 21 hp, if you know anything about engines can you please answer my questions, my engine runs for a litle bit but then goes dead, should i fix it?

  • @kev2556 could be a number of things, if it's ohv i would adjust the valves, make sure the carb is clean

  • that thing turned out amazing! its really too pretty to use

  • Why was that 316 so rusty? I would have used 1 can of paint stripper & muriatic acid to dissolve all that rust. But yours turned out nice and you have the tractor i've always wanted. Ckeck out my video: JD 212 Lawn Tractor Restoration Project

  • Top notch job Dony and thanks for the excellent documentation on the restoration. I might start a similar job on a friend's 1983 318 later this summer.

How long would you estimate this project took you to complete from start to finish?

  • @OSUEng1n33r 40 hours, next time I would get the parts sandblasted

  • nothing like an ice cold beer after a long hard project! lol

  • @NinjaNeglector yes sir!

  • beautiful job

  • Hey Dony how did you put the sand grit paper down, just an adhesive? Thanks for the tips.

  • @Mrabodon bought it on ebay, it's self adhesive, look up john deere 316 foot pads on ebay

  • Ah, love the sound. Nice low idling, like a real tractor.

  • @ifishfortarpon because it's a john deere and will keep running for the next 20 years

  • @donyboy73 Yep, especially these 'old ones' that still have all metal fenders and cover panels. Unlike the plastic crap on modern ones, these will outlast the new ones if taken care of.

  • Good video series

  • Painting and prepping is a huge pain in the butt, but the finished product is always worth all the work. Great job donyboy. You worked really hard, and it looks awesome.

  • Great job! It looks really fresh, I'm sure the guy will be amazed at the transformation.

I've really enjoyed this series and the golf cart engine rebuild of late :)

  • I did not see a answer on how much you charged for the restore . That tractor looks brand new now . If the owner was to sell it it would sell like brand new.

    What brew were you drinking?

    Great video series!!!
