I'm 12, and when I got my piercings in my ear lobe I was like 9 my mom didn't really care because I told her that I'd do chores for her for a month (which I really NEVER did at all) and I didn't tell my dad because obviously he'd say no. So I jot got my ear lobes pierced and I finished having four earrings in total, though now I really need to figure out how to make my dad let me have my bellybutton pierced... tell me if you know how I can convince him! (because my mom already said it was fine)

My advice: dont get too lazy with cleaning the cartilage. Plus dont be so quick to change the earring. Lol trust me, even if you think it is healed or started to heal and everything is going fine, there is still a chance to get infected. I could legit write a whole essay on cartilage but rather not haha

you have to get it with a stud bcuz the piercing has to stay in your ear for a certain amount of time or else your earing hole will close up.

@icehot2525 YES! Your parents must be there to sign all the legal paperwork and such (if you are under 18). Also, something I said but I think we edited out: I went one time, but I didn't have my ID with me so they turned me away and I had to go back again. You must have some sort of ID or else they can't legally perform any kind of piercing.

Im lame and just have the 1whole in the lobe(but I really really want the second one) but my dance teacher has 3 piercings on each ear (2 lobe and 1 the little thing right infront of your ear hole thing) then he has a face stud thing.. It's she cool, it's like a little stud right above his cheek bone but he had to like cut a hole in his face to get it in :) but it looks cool XD

@AlliesBeautyTips AAAH.lemme tell you mine expierince. I got my first lobes when i was a baby so i don't remeber a shit. This summer,i got my 2th at each ear. I was nervous! But you just feel like the little 'ping' thru your ear,it's like 2 seconds. Than it'll like dizzle. But that doesnt hurt. If you really want it,it REAAAAAAAAAALLLY doesn't hurt.REALLY.

the carilge pircing can stretch you ear lobe out later on when u take it out! Also u COULD shatter your cartilge! MY MOM WORKS AT A MAJOR EAR & EYE PLACE.. docter. so many people come in with cartlige infections.. and need help!

when i got my cartilage pierced, the piercing itself didn't hurt, but i got a hoop and it would always get caught on a brush, or people hitting it by accident, the irritation caused an infection so i had to change it to a stud. so if anyone was ever thinking about getting one, i would recommend a stud, and if you wanted a hoop wait until it is fully healed!

careful everybody because i accidently got an earring stuck INSIDE the hole on my ear and it was stuck there for the longest time , it hurt to try to hurt it out . it fell out with time but it was A LOT of time lol . (:btw im only 15 but it happened when i was 13

When I got my second holes done, the person who pierced them was new, it was her first time piercing ears. She put the marks in the right spots, but then accidentally pierced a little bit lower on one of the marks. Now my holes are uneven -__-

Where i got it done, they said to keep a stud in for a year.. and then your can change to a hoop after a year.

Hoops are too heavy, and tend too make the piercing bigger. I got my lobe piercing at the mall and he cleaned the gun and used latex gloves. My ear is fine. Just make sure they clean everything.

wow i cant believe you went to all that trouble for research about a cartilage piercing! it seems like a big deal to you guys to have got this done and all the persuading you have to do, but people where i live go to that much trouble for a riskier piercing like your belly button or tongue but deffinitely not an ear piercing!
