I think Eliza Carthy is one of the most gifted musicians this country has. Not only is she beautifully sensitive musically and possess one of the most expressive voices I've ever heard, she clearly deeply loves being up on stage. If I had a desert island voice rather than a desert island disc, it would very possibly belong to Eliza Carthy!
