I can't tell you how old it's gotten to hear astrologers always talk about Taurus as plodding and practical. This is such an archaic way of looking at this sign There are some incredibly aware and highly evolved Tauruses.

I'm a Virgo born 8-25-56, and you are quite correct about going through the strongest aspect in the last thirty years. Pluto energy made my current situation seem so necessary and likely, but the struggle is incredible and is the culmination of a lifetime of bad solutions to problems.
